The Opening
بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful١ Āyah 1
ٱلْحَمْدُall praises and thanks لِلَّهِ(be) to allah رَبِّthe lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَof the universe٢ Āyah 2
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful٣ Āyah 3
مَٰلِكِ(the) master يَوْمِ(of the) day ٱلدِّينِ(of the) judgment٤ Āyah 4
إِيَّاكَyou alone نَعْبُدُwe worship وَإِيَّاكَand you alone نَسْتَعِينُwe ask for help٥ Āyah 5
ٱهْدِنَاguide us ٱلصِّرَٰطَ(to) the path ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَthe straight٦ Āyah 6
صِرَٰطَ(the) path ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those أَنْعَمْتَyou have bestowed (your) favors عَلَيْهِمْon them غَيْرِnot (of) ٱلْمَغْضُوبِthose who earned (your) wrath عَلَيْهِمْon themselves وَلَاand not ٱلضَّآلِّينَ(of) those who go astray٧ Āyah 7
