الروم

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

الٓمٓalif lam meem۝١ Āyah 1

غُلِبَتِhave been defeated ٱلرُّومُthe romans۝٢ Āyah 2

فِىٓin أَدْنَى(the) nearest ٱلْأَرْضِland وَهُمbut they مِّنۢafter بَعْدِafter غَلَبِهِمْtheir defeat سَيَغْلِبُونَwill overcome۝٣ Āyah 3

فِىwithin بِضْعِa few سِنِينَyears لِلَّهِfor allah ٱلْأَمْرُ(is) the command مِنbefore قَبْلُbefore وَمِنۢand after بَعْدُand after وَيَوْمَئِذٍand that day يَفْرَحُwill rejoice ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believers۝٤ Āyah 4

بِنَصْرِwith (the) help ٱللَّهِ(of) allah يَنصُرُhe helps مَنwhom يَشَآءُhe wills وَهُوَand he ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the all mighty ٱلرَّحِيمُthe most merciful۝٥ Āyah 5

وَعْدَ(it is the) promise ٱللَّهِ(of) allah لَا(does) not يُخْلِفُfail ٱللَّهُallah وَعْدَهُۥ(in) his promise وَلَٰكِنَّbut أَكْثَرَmost (of) ٱلنَّاسِ[the] people لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٦ Āyah 6

يَعْلَمُونَthey know ظَٰهِرًا(the) apparent مِّنَof ٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world وَهُمْbut they عَنِabout ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِthe hereafter هُمْ[they] غَٰفِلُونَ(are) heedless۝٧ Āyah 7

أَوَلَمْdo not يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟they ponder فِىٓwithin أَنفُسِهِمthemselves مَّاnot خَلَقَallah (has) created ٱللَّهُallah (has) created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَand the earth وَمَاand what بَيْنَهُمَآ(is) between them إِلَّاexcept بِٱلْحَقِّin truth وَأَجَلٍand (for) a term مُّسَمًّىappointed وَإِنَّand indeed كَثِيرًاmany مِّنَof ٱلنَّاسِthe people بِلِقَآئِin (the) meeting رَبِّهِمْ(with) their lord لَكَٰفِرُونَsurely (are) disbelievers۝٨ Āyah 8

أَوَلَمْhave not يَسِيرُوا۟they traveled فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth فَيَنظُرُوا۟and observed كَيْفَhow كَانَwas عَٰقِبَةُ(the) end ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those مِنbefore them قَبْلِهِمْbefore them كَانُوٓا۟they were أَشَدَّmightier مِنْهُمْthan them قُوَّةً(in) strength وَأَثَارُوا۟and they dug ٱلْأَرْضَthe earth وَعَمَرُوهَآand built (on) it أَكْثَرَmore مِمَّاthan what عَمَرُوهَاthey have built (on) it وَجَآءَتْهُمْand came (to) them رُسُلُهُمtheir messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofs فَمَاso not كَانَwas ٱللَّهُallah لِيَظْلِمَهُمْto wrong them وَلَٰكِنbut كَانُوٓا۟they were أَنفُسَهُمْthemselves يَظْلِمُونَ(doing) wrong۝٩ Āyah 9

ثُمَّthen كَانَwas عَٰقِبَةَ(the) end ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those who أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟did evil ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓthe evil أَنbecause كَذَّبُوا۟they denied بِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) signs ٱللَّهِ(of) allah وَكَانُوا۟and were بِهَاof them يَسْتَهْزِءُونَmaking mockery۝١٠ Āyah 10
