الشمس

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

وَٱلشَّمْسِby the sun وَضُحَىٰهَاand its brightness۝١ Āyah 1

وَٱلْقَمَرِand the moon إِذَاwhen تَلَىٰهَاit follows it۝٢ Āyah 2

وَٱلنَّهَارِand the day إِذَاwhen جَلَّىٰهَاit displays it۝٣ Āyah 3

وَٱلَّيْلِand the night إِذَاwhen يَغْشَىٰهَاit covers it۝٤ Āyah 4

وَٱلسَّمَآءِand the heaven وَمَاand (he) who بَنَىٰهَاconstructed it۝٥ Āyah 5

وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth وَمَاand (he) who طَحَىٰهَاspread it۝٦ Āyah 6

وَنَفْسٍand (the) soul وَمَاand (he) who سَوَّىٰهَاproportioned it۝٧ Āyah 7

فَأَلْهَمَهَاand he inspired it فُجُورَهَا(to distinguish) its wickedness وَتَقْوَىٰهَاand its righteousness۝٨ Āyah 8

قَدْindeed أَفْلَحَhe succeeds مَنwho زَكَّىٰهَاpurifies it۝٩ Āyah 9

وَقَدْand indeed خَابَhe fails مَنwho دَسَّىٰهَاburies it۝١٠ Āyah 10

كَذَّبَتْdenied ثَمُودُthamud بِطَغْوَىٰهَآby their transgression۝١١ Āyah 11

إِذِwhen ٱنۢبَعَثَ(was) sent forth أَشْقَىٰهَا(the) most wicked of them۝١٢ Āyah 12

فَقَالَbut said لَهُمْto them رَسُولُ(the) messenger ٱللَّهِ(of) allah نَاقَةَ(it is the) she camel ٱللَّهِ(of) allah وَسُقْيَٰهَاand her drink۝١٣ Āyah 13

فَكَذَّبُوهُbut they denied him فَعَقَرُوهَاand they hamstrung her فَدَمْدَمَso destroyed عَلَيْهِمْthem رَبُّهُمtheir lord بِذَنۢبِهِمْfor their sin فَسَوَّىٰهَاand leveled them۝١٤ Āyah 14

وَلَاand not يَخَافُhe fears عُقْبَٰهَاits consequences۝١٥ Āyah 15
