يونس

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

الٓرalif lam ra تِلْكَthese ءَايَٰتُ(are the) verses ٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the book ٱلْحَكِيمِthe wise۝١ Āyah 1

أَكَانَis it لِلنَّاسِfor the mankind عَجَبًاa wonder أَنْthat أَوْحَيْنَآwe revealed إِلَىٰto رَجُلٍa man مِّنْهُمْfrom (among) them أَنْthat أَنذِرِwarn ٱلنَّاسَthe mankind وَبَشِّرِand give glad tidings ٱلَّذِينَ(to) those who ءَامَنُوٓا۟believe أَنَّthat لَهُمْfor them قَدَمَ(will be) a respectable position صِدْقٍ(will be) a respectable position عِندَnear رَبِّهِمْtheir lord قَالَsaid ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelievers إِنَّindeed هَٰذَاthis لَسَٰحِرٌ(is) surely a magician مُّبِينٌobvious۝٢ Āyah 2

إِنَّindeed رَبَّكُمُyour lord ٱللَّهُ(is) allah ٱلَّذِىthe one who خَلَقَcreated ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَand the earth فِىin سِتَّةِsix أَيَّامٍperiods ثُمَّthen ٱسْتَوَىٰhe established عَلَىon ٱلْعَرْشِthe throne يُدَبِّرُdisposing ٱلْأَمْرَthe affairs مَاnot مِن(is) any intercessor شَفِيعٍ(is) any intercessor إِلَّاexcept مِنۢafter بَعْدِafter إِذْنِهِۦhis permission ذَٰلِكُمُthat ٱللَّهُ(is) allah رَبُّكُمْyour lord فَٱعْبُدُوهُso worship him أَفَلَاthen will not تَذَكَّرُونَyou remember۝٣ Āyah 3

إِلَيْهِto him مَرْجِعُكُمْ(will be) your return جَمِيعًا[all] وَعْدَpromise ٱللَّهِ(of) allah حَقًّا(is) true إِنَّهُۥindeed he يَبْدَؤُا۟originates ٱلْخَلْقَthe creation ثُمَّthen يُعِيدُهُۥhe repeats it لِيَجْزِىَthat he may reward ٱلَّذِينَthose who ءَامَنُوا۟believed وَعَمِلُوا۟and did ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِthe good deeds بِٱلْقِسْطِin justice وَٱلَّذِينَbut those who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieved لَهُمْfor them شَرَابٌ(will be) a drink مِّنْof حَمِيمٍboiling fluids وَعَذَابٌand a punishment أَلِيمٌۢpainful بِمَاbecause كَانُوا۟they used (to) يَكْفُرُونَdisbelieve۝٤ Āyah 4

هُوَhe ٱلَّذِى(is) the one who جَعَلَmade ٱلشَّمْسَthe sun ضِيَآءًa shining light وَٱلْقَمَرَand the moon نُورًاa reflected light وَقَدَّرَهُۥand determined for it مَنَازِلَphases لِتَعْلَمُوا۟that you may know عَدَدَ(the) number ٱلسِّنِينَ(of) the years وَٱلْحِسَابَand the count (of time) مَاnot خَلَقَcreated ٱللَّهُallah ذَٰلِكَthat إِلَّاexcept بِٱلْحَقِّin truth يُفَصِّلُhe explains ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِthe signs لِقَوْمٍfor a people يَعْلَمُونَ(who) know۝٥ Āyah 5

إِنَّindeed فِىin ٱخْتِلَٰفِ(the) alternation ٱلَّيْلِ(of) the night وَٱلنَّهَارِand the day وَمَاand what خَلَقَallah has created ٱللَّهُallah has created فِىin ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth لَـَٔايَٰتٍ(are) signs لِّقَوْمٍfor a people يَتَّقُونَwho are god conscious۝٦ Āyah 6

إِنَّindeed ٱلَّذِينَthose who لَا(do) not يَرْجُونَexpect لِقَآءَنَاthe meeting with us وَرَضُوا۟and are pleased بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِwith the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world وَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟and feel satisfied بِهَاwith it وَٱلَّذِينَand those هُمْthey عَنْ(are) of ءَايَٰتِنَاour signs غَٰفِلُونَheedless۝٧ Āyah 7

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose مَأْوَىٰهُمُtheir abode ٱلنَّارُ(will be) the fire بِمَاfor what كَانُوا۟they used (to) يَكْسِبُونَearn۝٨ Āyah 8

إِنَّindeed ٱلَّذِينَthose who ءَامَنُوا۟believed وَعَمِلُوا۟and did ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِgood deeds يَهْدِيهِمْ(will) guide them رَبُّهُمtheir lord بِإِيمَٰنِهِمْby their faith تَجْرِىwill flow مِنfrom تَحْتِهِمُunderneath them ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe rivers فِىin جَنَّٰتِgardens ٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) delight۝٩ Āyah 9

دَعْوَىٰهُمْtheir prayer فِيهَاtherein سُبْحَٰنَكَ(will be) glory be to you ٱللَّهُمَّo allah وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْand their greeting فِيهَاtherein (will be) سَلَٰمٌpeace وَءَاخِرُand the last دَعْوَىٰهُمْ(of) their call أَنِ(will be) [that] ٱلْحَمْدُall the praise be لِلَّهِto allah رَبِّlord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds۝١٠ Āyah 10
