الفرقان

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

تَبَارَكَblessed is he ٱلَّذِىwho نَزَّلَsent down ٱلْفُرْقَانَthe criterion عَلَىٰupon عَبْدِهِۦhis slave لِيَكُونَthat he may be لِلْعَٰلَمِينَto the worlds نَذِيرًاa warner۝١ Āyah 1

ٱلَّذِىone who لَهُۥto him (belongs) مُلْكُ(the) dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth وَلَمْand not يَتَّخِذْhe has taken وَلَدًاa son وَلَمْand not يَكُنhe has لَّهُۥfor him شَرِيكٌa partner فِىin ٱلْمُلْكِthe dominion وَخَلَقَand he (has) created كُلَّevery شَىْءٍthing فَقَدَّرَهُۥand determined it تَقْدِيرًا(with) determination۝٢ Āyah 2

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟yet they have taken مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦٓbesides him ءَالِهَةًgods لَّاnot يَخْلُقُونَthey create شَيْـًٔاanything وَهُمْwhile they يُخْلَقُونَare created وَلَاand not يَمْلِكُونَthey possess لِأَنفُسِهِمْfor themselves ضَرًّاany harm وَلَاand not نَفْعًاany benefit وَلَاand not يَمْلِكُونَthey control مَوْتًاdeath وَلَاand not حَيَوٰةًlife وَلَاand not نُشُورًاresurrection۝٣ Āyah 3

وَقَالَand say ٱلَّذِينَthose who كَفَرُوٓا۟disbelieve إِنْnot هَٰذَآthis إِلَّآ(is) but إِفْكٌa lie ٱفْتَرَىٰهُhe invented it وَأَعَانَهُۥand helped him عَلَيْهِat it قَوْمٌpeople ءَاخَرُونَother فَقَدْbut verily جَآءُوthey (have) produced ظُلْمًاan injustice وَزُورًاand a lie۝٤ Āyah 4

وَقَالُوٓا۟and they say أَسَٰطِيرُtales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former people ٱكْتَتَبَهَاwhich he has had written فَهِىَand they تُمْلَىٰare dictated عَلَيْهِto him بُكْرَةًmorning وَأَصِيلًاand evening۝٥ Āyah 5

قُلْsay أَنزَلَهُhas sent it down ٱلَّذِىthe one who يَعْلَمُknows ٱلسِّرَّthe secret فِىin ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth إِنَّهُۥindeed he كَانَis غَفُورًاoft forgiving رَّحِيمًاmost merciful۝٦ Āyah 6

وَقَالُوا۟and they say مَالِwhy does هَٰذَاthis ٱلرَّسُولِmessenger يَأْكُلُeat ٱلطَّعَامَ[the] food وَيَمْشِىand walk فِىin ٱلْأَسْوَاقِthe markets لَوْلَآwhy not أُنزِلَis sent down إِلَيْهِto him مَلَكٌan angel فَيَكُونَthen he be مَعَهُۥwith him نَذِيرًاa warner۝٧ Āyah 7

أَوْor يُلْقَىٰٓis delivered إِلَيْهِto him كَنزٌa treasure أَوْor تَكُونُis لَهُۥfor him جَنَّةٌa garden يَأْكُلُhe may eat مِنْهَاfrom وَقَالَand say ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoers إِنnot تَتَّبِعُونَyou follow إِلَّاbut رَجُلًاa man مَّسْحُورًاbewitched۝٨ Āyah 8

ٱنظُرْsee كَيْفَhow ضَرَبُوا۟they set forth لَكَfor you ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَthe similitudes فَضَلُّوا۟but they have gone astray فَلَاso not يَسْتَطِيعُونَthey are able (to find) سَبِيلًاa way۝٩ Āyah 9
