الزمر

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

تَنزِيلُ(the) revelation ٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the book مِنَ(is) from ٱللَّهِallah ٱلْعَزِيزِthe all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمِthe all wise۝١ Āyah 1

إِنَّآindeed we أَنزَلْنَآ[we] have revealed إِلَيْكَto you ٱلْكِتَٰبَthe book بِٱلْحَقِّin truth; فَٱعْبُدِso worship ٱللَّهَallah مُخْلِصًا(being) sincere لَّهُto him ٱلدِّينَ(in) the religion۝٢ Āyah 2

أَلَاunquestionably لِلَّهِfor allah ٱلدِّينُ(is) the religion ٱلْخَالِصُthe pure وَٱلَّذِينَand those who ٱتَّخَذُوا۟take مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦٓbesides him أَوْلِيَآءَprotectors مَاnot نَعْبُدُهُمْwe worship them إِلَّاexcept لِيُقَرِّبُونَآthat they may bring us near إِلَىto ٱللَّهِallah زُلْفَىٰٓ(in) nearness إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah يَحْكُمُwill judge بَيْنَهُمْbetween them فِىin مَاwhat هُمْthey فِيهِ[in it] يَخْتَلِفُونَdiffer إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah لَا(does) not يَهْدِىguide مَنْ(one) who هُوَ[he] كَٰذِبٌ(is) a liar كَفَّارٌand a disbeliever۝٣ Āyah 3

لَّوْif أَرَادَallah (had) intended ٱللَّهُallah (had) intended أَنto يَتَّخِذَtake وَلَدًاa son لَّٱصْطَفَىٰsurely he (could) have chosen مِمَّاfrom what يَخْلُقُhe creates مَاwhatever يَشَآءُhe willed سُبْحَٰنَهُۥglory be to him هُوَhe ٱللَّهُ(is) allah ٱلْوَٰحِدُthe one ٱلْقَهَّارُthe irresistible۝٤ Āyah 4

خَلَقَhe created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَand the earth بِٱلْحَقِّin [the] truth يُكَوِّرُhe wraps ٱلَّيْلَthe night عَلَىover ٱلنَّهَارِthe day وَيُكَوِّرُand wraps ٱلنَّهَارَthe day عَلَىover ٱلَّيْلِthe night وَسَخَّرَand he subjected ٱلشَّمْسَthe sun وَٱلْقَمَرَand the moon كُلٌّeach يَجْرِىrunning لِأَجَلٍfor a term مُّسَمًّىspecified أَلَاunquestionably هُوَhe ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the all mighty ٱلْغَفَّٰرُthe oft forgiving۝٥ Āyah 5

خَلَقَكُمhe created you مِّنfrom نَّفْسٍa soul وَٰحِدَةٍsingle ثُمَّthen جَعَلَhe made مِنْهَاfrom it زَوْجَهَاits mate وَأَنزَلَand he sent down لَكُمfor you مِّنَof ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِthe cattle ثَمَٰنِيَةَeight أَزْوَٰجٍkinds يَخْلُقُكُمْhe creates you فِىin بُطُونِ(the) wombs أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ(of) your mothers خَلْقًاcreation مِّنۢafter بَعْدِafter خَلْقٍcreation فِىin ظُلُمَٰتٍdarkness[es] ثَلَٰثٍthree ذَٰلِكُمُthat ٱللَّهُ(is) allah رَبُّكُمْyour lord; لَهُfor him ٱلْمُلْكُ(is) the dominion لَآ(there is) no إِلَٰهَgod إِلَّاexcept هُوَhe فَأَنَّىٰthen how تُصْرَفُونَare you turning away۝٦ Āyah 6

إِنif تَكْفُرُوا۟you disbelieve فَإِنَّthen indeed ٱللَّهَallah غَنِىٌّ(is) free from need عَنكُمْof you وَلَاand not يَرْضَىٰhe likes لِعِبَادِهِin his slaves ٱلْكُفْرَungratefulness وَإِنand if تَشْكُرُوا۟you are grateful يَرْضَهُhe likes it لَكُمْin you وَلَاand not تَزِرُwill bear وَازِرَةٌbearer of burdens وِزْرَ(the) burden أُخْرَىٰ(of) another ثُمَّthen إِلَىٰto رَبِّكُمyour lord مَّرْجِعُكُمْ(is) your return فَيُنَبِّئُكُمthen he will inform you بِمَاabout what كُنتُمْyou used to تَعْمَلُونَdo إِنَّهُۥindeed he عَلِيمٌۢ(is) the all knower بِذَاتِof what (is) in the breasts ٱلصُّدُورِof what (is) in the breasts۝٧ Āyah 7

وَإِذَاand when مَسَّtouches ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ[the] man ضُرٌّadversity دَعَاhe calls رَبَّهُۥhis lord مُنِيبًاturning إِلَيْهِto him; ثُمَّthen إِذَاwhen خَوَّلَهُۥhe bestows on him نِعْمَةًa favor مِّنْهُfrom himself نَسِىَhe forgets مَا(for) what كَانَhe used to call يَدْعُوٓا۟he used to call إِلَيْهِ[to] him مِنbefore قَبْلُbefore وَجَعَلَand he sets up لِلَّهِto allah أَندَادًاrivals لِّيُضِلَّto mislead عَنfrom سَبِيلِهِۦhis path قُلْsay تَمَتَّعْenjoy بِكُفْرِكَin your disbelief قَلِيلًا(for) a little إِنَّكَindeed you مِنْ(are) of أَصْحَٰبِ(the) companions ٱلنَّارِ(of) the fire۝٨ Āyah 8

أَمَّنْis (one) who هُوَ[he] قَٰنِتٌ(is) devoutly obedient ءَانَآءَ(during) hours ٱلَّيْلِ(of) the night سَاجِدًاprostrating وَقَآئِمًاand standing يَحْذَرُfearing ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَthe hereafter وَيَرْجُوا۟and hoping رَحْمَةَ(for the) mercy رَبِّهِۦ(of) his lord قُلْsay هَلْare يَسْتَوِىequal ٱلَّذِينَthose who يَعْلَمُونَknow وَٱلَّذِينَand those who لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow إِنَّمَاonly يَتَذَكَّرُwill take heed أُو۟لُوا۟those of understanding ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِthose of understanding۝٩ Āyah 9
