الجمعة

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

يُسَبِّحُglorifies لِلَّهِallah مَاwhatever فِى(is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَمَاand whatever فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth ٱلْمَلِكِthe sovereign ٱلْقُدُّوسِthe holy ٱلْعَزِيزِthe all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمِthe all wise۝١ Āyah 1

هُوَhe ٱلَّذِى(is) the one who بَعَثَsent فِىamong ٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَthe unlettered رَسُولًاa messenger مِّنْهُمْfrom themselves يَتْلُوا۟reciting عَلَيْهِمْto them ءَايَٰتِهِۦhis verses وَيُزَكِّيهِمْand purifying them وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُand teaching them ٱلْكِتَٰبَthe book وَٱلْحِكْمَةَand the wisdom وَإِنalthough كَانُوا۟they were مِنbefore قَبْلُbefore لَفِىsurely in ضَلَٰلٍan error مُّبِينٍclear۝٢ Āyah 2

وَءَاخَرِينَand others مِنْهُمْamong them لَمَّاwho have not yet joined يَلْحَقُوا۟who have not yet joined بِهِمْthem; وَهُوَand he ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُthe all wise۝٣ Āyah 3

ذَٰلِكَthat فَضْلُ(is the) bounty of allah ٱللَّهِ(is the) bounty of allah يُؤْتِيهِhe gives it مَن(to) whom يَشَآءُhe wills وَٱللَّهُand allah ذُو(is the) possessor of bounty ٱلْفَضْلِ(is the) possessor of bounty ٱلْعَظِيمِthe great۝٤ Āyah 4

مَثَلُ(the) likeness ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those who حُمِّلُوا۟were entrusted ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ(with) the taurat ثُمَّthen لَمْnot يَحْمِلُوهَاthey bore it كَمَثَلِ(is) like ٱلْحِمَارِthe donkey يَحْمِلُwho carries أَسْفَارًۢاbooks بِئْسَwretched is مَثَلُ(the) example ٱلْقَوْمِ(of) the people ٱلَّذِينَwho كَذَّبُوا۟deny بِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) signs ٱللَّهِ(of) allah وَٱللَّهُand allah لَا(does) not يَهْدِىguide ٱلْقَوْمَthe people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers۝٥ Āyah 5

قُلْsay يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you who are jews ٱلَّذِينَo you who are jews هَادُوٓا۟o you who are jews إِنif زَعَمْتُمْyou claim أَنَّكُمْthat you أَوْلِيَآءُ(are) allies لِلَّهِof allah مِنexcluding دُونِexcluding ٱلنَّاسِthe people فَتَمَنَّوُا۟then wish ٱلْمَوْتَ(for) the death إِنif كُنتُمْyou are صَٰدِقِينَtruthful۝٦ Āyah 6

وَلَاbut not يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓthey will wish for it أَبَدًۢاever بِمَاfor what قَدَّمَتْ(have) sent forth أَيْدِيهِمْtheir hands وَٱللَّهُand allah عَلِيمٌۢ(is) all knowing بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَof the wrongdoers۝٧ Āyah 7

قُلْsay إِنَّindeed ٱلْمَوْتَthe death ٱلَّذِىwhich تَفِرُّونَyou flee مِنْهُfrom it فَإِنَّهُۥthen surely it مُلَٰقِيكُمْ(will) meet you ثُمَّthen تُرَدُّونَyou will be sent back إِلَىٰto عَٰلِمِ(the) all knower ٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseen وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the witnessed فَيُنَبِّئُكُمand بِمَا[of] what كُنتُمْyou used to تَعْمَلُونَdo۝٨ Āyah 8
