المنافقون

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

إِذَاwhen جَآءَكَcome to you ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَthe hypocrites قَالُوا۟they say نَشْهَدُwe testify إِنَّكَthat you لَرَسُولُ(are) surely (the) messenger ٱللَّهِ(of) allah وَٱللَّهُand allah يَعْلَمُknows إِنَّكَthat you لَرَسُولُهُۥ(are) surely his messenger وَٱللَّهُand allah يَشْهَدُtestifies إِنَّthat ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَthe hypocrites لَكَٰذِبُونَ(are) surely liars۝١ Āyah 1

ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟they take أَيْمَٰنَهُمْtheir oaths جُنَّةً(as) a cover فَصَدُّوا۟so they turn away عَنfrom سَبِيلِ(the) way ٱللَّهِ(of) allah إِنَّهُمْindeed [they] سَآءَevil is مَاwhat كَانُوا۟they used to يَعْمَلُونَdo۝٢ Āyah 2

ذَٰلِكَthat بِأَنَّهُمْ(is) because ءَامَنُوا۟they believed ثُمَّthen كَفَرُوا۟they disbelieved; فَطُبِعَso were sealed عَلَىٰ[upon] قُلُوبِهِمْtheir hearts فَهُمْso they لَا(do) not يَفْقَهُونَunderstand۝٣ Āyah 3

وَإِذَاand when رَأَيْتَهُمْyou see them تُعْجِبُكَpleases you أَجْسَامُهُمْtheir bodies وَإِنand if يَقُولُوا۟they speak تَسْمَعْyou listen لِقَوْلِهِمْto their speech كَأَنَّهُمْas if they (were) خُشُبٌpieces of wood مُّسَنَّدَةٌpropped up يَحْسَبُونَthey think كُلَّevery صَيْحَةٍshout عَلَيْهِمْ(is) against them هُمُthey ٱلْعَدُوُّ(are) the enemy فَٱحْذَرْهُمْso beware of them قَٰتَلَهُمُmay allah destroy them ٱللَّهُmay allah destroy them أَنَّىٰhow يُؤْفَكُونَare they deluded۝٤ Āyah 4

وَإِذَاand when قِيلَit is said لَهُمْto them تَعَالَوْا۟come يَسْتَغْفِرْwill ask forgiveness لَكُمْfor you رَسُولُ(the) messenger of allah ٱللَّهِ(the) messenger of allah لَوَّوْا۟they turn aside رُءُوسَهُمْtheir heads وَرَأَيْتَهُمْand you see them يَصُدُّونَturning away وَهُمwhile they مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ(are) arrogant۝٥ Āyah 5

سَوَآءٌ(it) is same عَلَيْهِمْfor them أَسْتَغْفَرْتَwhether you ask forgiveness لَهُمْfor them أَمْor لَمْ(do) not تَسْتَغْفِرْask forgiveness لَهُمْfor them لَنnever يَغْفِرَwill allah forgive ٱللَّهُwill allah forgive لَهُمْ[to] them إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah لَا(does) not يَهْدِىguide ٱلْقَوْمَthe people ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَthe defiantly disobedient۝٦ Āyah 6

هُمُthey ٱلَّذِينَ(are) those who يَقُولُونَsay لَا(do) not تُنفِقُوا۟spend عَلَىٰon مَنْ(those) who عِندَ(are) with رَسُولِ(the) messenger ٱللَّهِ(of) allah حَتَّىٰuntil يَنفَضُّوا۟they disband وَلِلَّهِand for allah خَزَآئِنُ(are the) treasures ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth وَلَٰكِنَّbut ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَthe hypocrites لَا(do) not يَفْقَهُونَunderstand۝٧ Āyah 7

يَقُولُونَthey say لَئِنif رَّجَعْنَآwe return إِلَىto ٱلْمَدِينَةِal madinah لَيُخْرِجَنَّsurely will expel ٱلْأَعَزُّthe more honorable مِنْهَاfrom it ٱلْأَذَلَّthe more humble وَلِلَّهِbut for allah ٱلْعِزَّةُ(is) the honor وَلِرَسُولِهِۦand for his messenger وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand for the believers وَلَٰكِنَّbut ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَthe hypocrites لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٨ Āyah 8
