الليل

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

وَٱلَّيْلِby the night إِذَاwhen يَغْشَىٰit covers۝١ Āyah 1

وَٱلنَّهَارِand the day إِذَاwhen تَجَلَّىٰit shines in brightness۝٢ Āyah 2

وَمَاand he who خَلَقَcreated ٱلذَّكَرَthe male وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓand the female۝٣ Āyah 3

إِنَّindeed سَعْيَكُمْyour efforts لَشَتَّىٰ(are) surely diverse۝٤ Āyah 4

فَأَمَّاthen as for مَنْ(him) who أَعْطَىٰgives وَٱتَّقَىٰand fears۝٥ Āyah 5

وَصَدَّقَand believes بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰin the best۝٦ Āyah 6

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥthen we will ease him لِلْيُسْرَىٰtowards [the] ease۝٧ Āyah 7

وَأَمَّاbut as for مَنۢ(him) who بَخِلَwithholds وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰand considers himself free from need۝٨ Āyah 8

وَكَذَّبَand denies بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰthe best۝٩ Āyah 9

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥthen we will ease him لِلْعُسْرَىٰtowards [the] difficulty۝١٠ Āyah 10

وَمَاand not يُغْنِىwill avail عَنْهُhim مَالُهُۥٓhis wealth إِذَاwhen تَرَدَّىٰٓhe falls۝١١ Āyah 11

إِنَّindeed عَلَيْنَاupon us لَلْهُدَىٰ(is) the guidance۝١٢ Āyah 12

وَإِنَّand indeed لَنَاfor us لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ(is) the hereafter وَٱلْأُولَىٰand the first (life)۝١٣ Āyah 13

فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْso i warn you نَارًا(of) a fire تَلَظَّىٰblazing۝١٤ Āyah 14

لَاnot يَصْلَىٰهَآwill burn (in) it إِلَّاexcept ٱلْأَشْقَىthe most wretched۝١٥ Āyah 15

ٱلَّذِىthe one who كَذَّبَdenied وَتَوَلَّىٰand turned away۝١٦ Āyah 16

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَاbut will be removed from it ٱلْأَتْقَىthe righteous۝١٧ Āyah 17

ٱلَّذِىthe one who يُؤْتِىgives مَالَهُۥhis wealth يَتَزَكَّىٰ(to) purify himself۝١٨ Āyah 18

وَمَاand not لِأَحَدٍfor anyone عِندَهُۥwith him مِنany نِّعْمَةٍfavor تُجْزَىٰٓto be recompensed۝١٩ Āyah 19

إِلَّاexcept ٱبْتِغَآءَseeking وَجْهِ(the) countenance رَبِّهِ(of) his lord ٱلْأَعْلَىٰthe most high۝٢٠ Āyah 20

وَلَسَوْفَand soon surely يَرْضَىٰhe will be pleased۝٢١ Āyah 21
