الرعد

ٱللَّهُallah يَعْلَمُknows مَاwhat تَحْمِلُcarries كُلُّevery أُنثَىٰfemale وَمَاand what تَغِيضُfall short ٱلْأَرْحَامُthe womb وَمَاand what تَزْدَادُthey exceed وَكُلُّand every شَىْءٍthing عِندَهُۥwith him بِمِقْدَارٍ(is) in due proportion۝٨ Āyah 8

عَٰلِمُknower ٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseen وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the witnessed ٱلْكَبِيرُthe most great ٱلْمُتَعَالِthe most high۝٩ Āyah 9

سَوَآءٌ(it is) same (to him) مِّنكُم[of you] مَّنْ(one) who أَسَرَّconceals ٱلْقَوْلَthe speech وَمَنor (one) who جَهَرَpublicizes it بِهِۦpublicizes it وَمَنْand (one) who هُوَ[he] مُسْتَخْفٍۭ(is) hidden بِٱلَّيْلِby night وَسَارِبٌۢor goes freely بِٱلنَّهَارِby day۝١٠ Āyah 10

لَهُۥfor him مُعَقِّبَٰتٌ(are) successive (angels) مِّنۢbefore him بَيْنِbefore him يَدَيْهِbefore him وَمِنْand behind him خَلْفِهِۦand behind him يَحْفَظُونَهُۥwho guard him مِنْby أَمْرِ(the) command of allah ٱللَّهِ(the) command of allah إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah لَا(does) not يُغَيِّرُchange مَاthe condition of a people بِقَوْمٍthe condition of a people حَتَّىٰuntil يُغَيِّرُوا۟they change مَاwhat بِأَنفُسِهِمْ(is) in themselves وَإِذَآand when أَرَادَallah wills ٱللَّهُallah wills بِقَوْمٍfor a people سُوٓءًاmisfortune فَلَاthen (there is) no مَرَدَّturning away لَهُۥof it وَمَاand not لَهُمfor them مِّنbesides him دُونِهِۦbesides him مِنany وَالٍprotector۝١١ Āyah 11

هُوَhe ٱلَّذِى(is) the one who يُرِيكُمُshows you ٱلْبَرْقَthe lightning خَوْفًاa fear وَطَمَعًاand a hope وَيُنشِئُand brings up ٱلسَّحَابَthe heavy clouds ٱلثِّقَالَthe heavy clouds۝١٢ Āyah 12

وَيُسَبِّحُand glorifies ٱلرَّعْدُthe thunder بِحَمْدِهِۦ[with] وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُand the angels مِنْfor خِيفَتِهِۦfear of him وَيُرْسِلُand he sends ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَthe thunderbolts فَيُصِيبُand strikes بِهَاwith it مَنwhom يَشَآءُhe wills وَهُمْyet they يُجَٰدِلُونَdispute فِىabout ٱللَّهِallah وَهُوَand he شَدِيدُ(is) mighty ٱلْمِحَالِ(in) strength۝١٣ Āyah 13

لَهُۥto him دَعْوَةُ(is) supplication ٱلْحَقِّ(of) the truth وَٱلَّذِينَand those whom يَدْعُونَthey invoke مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦbesides him لَاnot يَسْتَجِيبُونَthey respond لَهُمto them بِشَىْءٍwith a thing إِلَّاexcept كَبَٰسِطِlike one who stretches كَفَّيْهِhis hands إِلَىtowards ٱلْمَآءِwater لِيَبْلُغَto reach فَاهُhis mouth وَمَاbut not هُوَit بِبَٰلِغِهِۦreaches it وَمَاand not دُعَآءُ(is) the supplication ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelievers إِلَّاbut فِىin ضَلَٰلٍerror۝١٤ Āyah 14

وَلِلَّهِand to allah يَسْجُدُprostrates مَنwhoever فِى(is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth طَوْعًاwillingly وَكَرْهًاor unwillingly وَظِلَٰلُهُمand (so do) their shadows بِٱلْغُدُوِّin the mornings وَٱلْـَٔاصَالِand in the afternoons۝١٥ Āyah 15

قُلْsay مَنwho رَّبُّ(is) the lord ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth قُلِsay ٱللَّهُallah قُلْsay أَفَٱتَّخَذْتُمhave you then taken مِّنbesides him دُونِهِۦٓbesides him أَوْلِيَآءَprotectors لَاnot يَمْلِكُونَthey have power لِأَنفُسِهِمْfor themselves نَفْعًا(to) benefit وَلَاand not ضَرًّا(to) harm قُلْsay هَلْis يَسْتَوِىequal ٱلْأَعْمَىٰthe blind وَٱلْبَصِيرُand the seeing أَمْor هَلْis تَسْتَوِىequal ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُthe darkness[es] وَٱلنُّورُand the light أَمْor جَعَلُوا۟they attribute لِلَّهِto allah شُرَكَآءَpartners خَلَقُوا۟who created كَخَلْقِهِۦlike his creation فَتَشَٰبَهَso that seemed alike ٱلْخَلْقُthe creation عَلَيْهِمْto them قُلِsay ٱللَّهُallah خَٰلِقُ(is) the creator كُلِّof all شَىْءٍthings وَهُوَand he ٱلْوَٰحِدُ(is) the one ٱلْقَهَّٰرُthe irresistible۝١٦ Āyah 16

أَنزَلَhe sends down مِنَfrom ٱلسَّمَآءِthe sky مَآءًwater فَسَالَتْand flows أَوْدِيَةٌۢthe valleys بِقَدَرِهَاaccording to their measure فَٱحْتَمَلَand carries ٱلسَّيْلُthe torrent زَبَدًاa foam رَّابِيًاrising وَمِمَّاand from what يُوقِدُونَthey heat عَلَيْهِ[on] it فِىin ٱلنَّارِthe fire ٱبْتِغَآءَin order to make حِلْيَةٍornaments أَوْor مَتَٰعٍutensils زَبَدٌa foam مِّثْلُهُۥlike it كَذَٰلِكَthus يَضْرِبُallah sets forth ٱللَّهُallah sets forth ٱلْحَقَّthe truth وَٱلْبَٰطِلَand the falsehood فَأَمَّاthen as for ٱلزَّبَدُthe foam فَيَذْهَبُit passes away جُفَآءً(as) scum وَأَمَّاand as for مَاwhat يَنفَعُbenefits ٱلنَّاسَthe mankind فَيَمْكُثُremains فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth كَذَٰلِكَthus يَضْرِبُallah sets forth ٱللَّهُallah sets forth ٱلْأَمْثَالَthe examples۝١٧ Āyah 17

لِلَّذِينَfor those who ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟responded لِرَبِّهِمُto their lord ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ(is) the bliss وَٱلَّذِينَand for those who لَمْ(did) not يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟respond لَهُۥto him لَوْif أَنَّthat لَهُمthey had مَّاwhatever فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth جَمِيعًاall وَمِثْلَهُۥand like of it مَعَهُۥwith it لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟surely they would offer ransom بِهِۦٓwith it أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose لَهُمْfor them سُوٓءُ(is) a terrible ٱلْحِسَابِreckoning وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْand their abode جَهَنَّمُ(is) hell وَبِئْسَand wretched ٱلْمِهَادُ(is) the resting place۝١٨ Āyah 18
