الحج

وَإِذْand when بَوَّأْنَاwe assigned لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَto ibrahim مَكَانَ(the) site ٱلْبَيْتِ(of) the house أَنthat لَّا(do) not تُشْرِكْassociate بِىwith me شَيْـًٔاanything وَطَهِّرْand purify بَيْتِىَmy house لِلطَّآئِفِينَfor those who circumambulate وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَand those who stand وَٱلرُّكَّعِand those who bow ٱلسُّجُودِ(and) those who prostrate۝٢٦ Āyah 26

وَأَذِّنand proclaim فِىto ٱلنَّاسِ[the] mankind بِٱلْحَجِّ[of] the pilgrimage; يَأْتُوكَthey will come to you رِجَالًا(on) foot وَعَلَىٰand on كُلِّevery ضَامِرٍlean camel; يَأْتِينَthey will come مِنfrom كُلِّevery فَجٍّmountain highway عَمِيقٍdistant۝٢٧ Āyah 27

لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟that they may witness مَنَٰفِعَbenefits لَهُمْfor them وَيَذْكُرُوا۟and mention ٱسْمَ(the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah فِىٓon أَيَّامٍdays مَّعْلُومَٰتٍknown عَلَىٰover مَاwhat رَزَقَهُمhe has provided them مِّنۢof بَهِيمَةِ(the) beast ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ(of) cattle فَكُلُوا۟so eat مِنْهَاof them وَأَطْعِمُوا۟and feed ٱلْبَآئِسَthe miserable ٱلْفَقِيرَthe poor۝٢٨ Āyah 28

ثُمَّthen لْيَقْضُوا۟let them تَفَثَهُمْtheir prescribed duties وَلْيُوفُوا۟and fulfil نُذُورَهُمْtheir vows وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟and circumambulate بِٱلْبَيْتِthe house ٱلْعَتِيقِ[the] ancient۝٢٩ Āyah 29

ذَٰلِكَthat وَمَنand whoever يُعَظِّمْhonors حُرُمَٰتِ(the) sacred rites ٱللَّهِ(of) allah فَهُوَthen it خَيْرٌ(is) best لَّهُۥfor him عِندَnear رَبِّهِۦhis lord وَأُحِلَّتْand are made lawful لَكُمُto you ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُthe cattle إِلَّاexcept مَاwhat يُتْلَىٰis recited عَلَيْكُمْto you فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟so avoid ٱلرِّجْسَthe abomination مِنَof ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِthe idols وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟and avoid قَوْلَ(the) word ٱلزُّورِFALSE۝٣٠ Āyah 30

حُنَفَآءَbeing upright لِلَّهِto allah غَيْرَnot مُشْرِكِينَassociating partners بِهِۦwith him وَمَنand whoever يُشْرِكْassociates partners بِٱللَّهِwith allah فَكَأَنَّمَاthen (it is) as though خَرَّhe had fallen مِنَfrom ٱلسَّمَآءِthe sky فَتَخْطَفُهُand (had) snatched him ٱلطَّيْرُthe birds أَوْor تَهْوِىhad blown بِهِhim ٱلرِّيحُthe wind فِىto مَكَانٍa place سَحِيقٍfar off۝٣١ Āyah 31

ذَٰلِكَthat وَمَنand whoever يُعَظِّمْhonors شَعَٰٓئِرَ(the) symbols ٱللَّهِ(of) allah فَإِنَّهَاthen indeed it مِن(is) from تَقْوَى(the) piety ٱلْقُلُوبِ(of) the hearts۝٣٢ Āyah 32

لَكُمْfor you فِيهَاtherein مَنَٰفِعُ(are) benefits إِلَىٰٓfor أَجَلٍa term مُّسَمًّىappointed; ثُمَّthen مَحِلُّهَآtheir place of sacrifice إِلَى(is) at ٱلْبَيْتِthe house ٱلْعَتِيقِthe ancient۝٣٣ Āyah 33
