العنكبوت

وَلَمَّاand when جَآءَتْcame رُسُلُنَآour إِبْرَٰهِيمَ(to) ibrahim بِٱلْبُشْرَىٰwith the glad tidings قَالُوٓا۟they said إِنَّاindeed we مُهْلِكُوٓا۟(are) going to destroy أَهْلِ(the) people هَٰذِهِ(of) this ٱلْقَرْيَةِtown إِنَّindeed أَهْلَهَاits people كَانُوا۟are ظَٰلِمِينَwrongdoers۝٣١ Āyah 31

قَالَhe said إِنَّindeed فِيهَاin it لُوطًا(is) lut قَالُوا۟they said نَحْنُwe أَعْلَمُknow better بِمَنwho فِيهَا(is) in it لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥwe will surely save him وَأَهْلَهُۥٓand his family إِلَّاexcept ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥhis wife كَانَتْshe مِنَ(is) of ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَthose who remain۝٣٢ Āyah 32

وَلَمَّآand when أَن[that] جَآءَتْcame رُسُلُنَاour لُوطًا(to) lut سِىٓءَhe was distressed بِهِمْfor them وَضَاقَand felt straitened بِهِمْfor them ذَرْعًا(and) uneasy وَقَالُوا۟and they said لَا(do) not تَخَفْfear وَلَاand (do) not تَحْزَنْgrieve إِنَّاindeed we مُنَجُّوكَ(will) save you وَأَهْلَكَand your family إِلَّاexcept ٱمْرَأَتَكَyour wife كَانَتْshe مِنَ(is) of ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَthose who remain behind۝٣٣ Āyah 33

إِنَّاindeed we مُنزِلُونَ(will) bring down عَلَىٰٓon أَهْلِ(the) people هَٰذِهِ(of) this ٱلْقَرْيَةِtown رِجْزًاa punishment مِّنَfrom ٱلسَّمَآءِ(the) sky بِمَاbecause كَانُوا۟they have been يَفْسُقُونَdefiantly disobedient۝٣٤ Āyah 34

وَلَقَدand verily تَّرَكْنَاwe have left مِنْهَآabout it ءَايَةًۢa sign بَيِّنَةً(as) evidence لِّقَوْمٍfor a people يَعْقِلُونَwho use reason۝٣٥ Āyah 35

وَإِلَىٰand to مَدْيَنَmadyan أَخَاهُمْtheir brother شُعَيْبًاshuaib فَقَالَand he said يَٰقَوْمِo my people ٱعْبُدُوا۟worship ٱللَّهَallah وَٱرْجُوا۟and expect ٱلْيَوْمَthe day ٱلْـَٔاخِرَthe last وَلَاand (do) not تَعْثَوْا۟commit evil فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth مُفْسِدِينَ(as) corrupters۝٣٦ Āyah 36

فَكَذَّبُوهُbut they denied him فَأَخَذَتْهُمُso seized them ٱلرَّجْفَةُthe earthquake فَأَصْبَحُوا۟and they became فِىin دَارِهِمْtheir home جَٰثِمِينَfallen prone۝٣٧ Āyah 37

وَعَادًاand aad وَثَمُودَا۟and thamud وَقَدand verily تَّبَيَّنَ(has) become clear لَكُمto you مِّنfrom مَّسَٰكِنِهِمْtheir dwellings وَزَيَّنَand made fair seeming لَهُمُto them ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe shaitaan أَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds فَصَدَّهُمْand averted them عَنِfrom ٱلسَّبِيلِthe way وَكَانُوا۟though they were مُسْتَبْصِرِينَendowed with insight۝٣٨ Āyah 38

وَقَٰرُونَand qarun وَفِرْعَوْنَand firaun وَهَٰمَٰنَand haman وَلَقَدْand certainly جَآءَهُمcame to them مُّوسَىٰmusa بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear evidences فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟but they were arrogant فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth وَمَاand not كَانُوا۟they could سَٰبِقِينَoutstrip us۝٣٩ Āyah 39

فَكُلًّاso each أَخَذْنَاwe seized بِذَنۢبِهِۦfor his sin فَمِنْهُمthen of them مَّنْ(was he) who أَرْسَلْنَاwe sent عَلَيْهِon him حَاصِبًاa violent storm وَمِنْهُمand of them مَّنْ(was he) who أَخَذَتْهُseized him ٱلصَّيْحَةُthe awful cry وَمِنْهُمand of them مَّنْ(was he) who خَسَفْنَاwe caused to swallow بِهِhim ٱلْأَرْضَthe earth وَمِنْهُمand of them مَّنْ(was he) who أَغْرَقْنَاwe drowned وَمَاand not كَانَwas ٱللَّهُallah لِيَظْلِمَهُمْto wrong them وَلَٰكِنbut كَانُوٓا۟they were أَنفُسَهُمْthemselves يَظْلِمُونَdoing wrong۝٤٠ Āyah 40

مَثَلُ(the) example ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those who ٱتَّخَذُوا۟take مِنbesides دُونِbesides ٱللَّهِallah أَوْلِيَآءَprotectors كَمَثَلِ(is) like ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِthe spider ٱتَّخَذَتْwho takes بَيْتًاa house وَإِنَّand indeed أَوْهَنَthe weakest ٱلْبُيُوتِ(of) houses لَبَيْتُ(is) surely (the) house ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ(of) the spider لَوْif (only) كَانُوا۟they يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٤١ Āyah 41

إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah يَعْلَمُknows مَاwhat يَدْعُونَthey invoke مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦbesides him مِنany شَىْءٍthing وَهُوَand he ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُthe all wise۝٤٢ Āyah 42

وَتِلْكَand these ٱلْأَمْثَٰلُexamples نَضْرِبُهَاwe set forth لِلنَّاسِto mankind وَمَاbut not يَعْقِلُهَآwill understand them إِلَّاexcept ٱلْعَٰلِمُونَthose of knowledge۝٤٣ Āyah 43

خَلَقَallah created ٱللَّهُallah created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَand the earth بِٱلْحَقِّin truth إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَةً(is) surely a sign لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believers۝٤٤ Āyah 44
