القمر

كَذَّبَتْdenied ثَمُودُthamud بِٱلنُّذُرِthe warnings۝٢٣ Āyah 23

فَقَالُوٓا۟and said أَبَشَرًاis (it) a human being مِّنَّاamong us وَٰحِدًاone نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ(that) we should follow إِنَّآindeed we إِذًاthen لَّفِى(will be) surely in ضَلَٰلٍerror وَسُعُرٍand madness۝٢٤ Āyah 24

أَءُلْقِىَhas been sent ٱلذِّكْرُthe reminder عَلَيْهِto him مِنۢfrom بَيْنِنَاamong us بَلْnay هُوَhe كَذَّابٌ(is) a liar أَشِرٌinsolent۝٢٥ Āyah 25

سَيَعْلَمُونَthey will know غَدًاtomorrow مَّنِwho ٱلْكَذَّابُ(is) the liar ٱلْأَشِرُthe insolent one۝٢٦ Āyah 26

إِنَّاindeed we مُرْسِلُوا۟(are) sending ٱلنَّاقَةِthe she camel فِتْنَةً(as) a trial لَّهُمْfor them فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْso watch them وَٱصْطَبِرْand be patient۝٢٧ Āyah 27

وَنَبِّئْهُمْand inform them أَنَّthat ٱلْمَآءَthe water قِسْمَةٌۢ(is) to be shared بَيْنَهُمْbetween them كُلُّeach شِرْبٍdrink مُّحْتَضَرٌattended۝٢٨ Āyah 28

فَنَادَوْا۟but they called صَاحِبَهُمْtheir companion فَتَعَاطَىٰand he took فَعَقَرَand hamstrung۝٢٩ Āyah 29

فَكَيْفَso how كَانَwas عَذَابِىmy punishment وَنُذُرِand my warnings۝٣٠ Āyah 30

إِنَّآindeed we أَرْسَلْنَا[we] sent عَلَيْهِمْupon them صَيْحَةًthunderous blast وَٰحِدَةًsingle فَكَانُوا۟and they became كَهَشِيمِlike dry twig fragments ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ(used by) a fence builder۝٣١ Āyah 31

وَلَقَدْand certainly يَسَّرْنَاwe have made easy ٱلْقُرْءَانَthe quran لِلذِّكْرِfor remembrance فَهَلْso is (there) مِنany مُّدَّكِرٍwho will receive admonition۝٣٢ Āyah 32

كَذَّبَتْdenied قَوْمُ(the) people لُوطٍۭ(of) lut بِٱلنُّذُرِthe warnings۝٣٣ Āyah 33

إِنَّآindeed we أَرْسَلْنَا[we] sent عَلَيْهِمْupon them حَاصِبًاa storm of stones إِلَّآexcept ءَالَ(the) family لُوطٍ(of) lut نَّجَّيْنَٰهُمwe saved them بِسَحَرٍby dawn۝٣٤ Āyah 34

نِّعْمَةً(as) a favor مِّنْfrom عِندِنَاus كَذَٰلِكَthus نَجْزِىwe reward مَن(one) who شَكَرَ(is) grateful۝٣٥ Āyah 35

وَلَقَدْand certainly أَنذَرَهُمhe warned them بَطْشَتَنَا(of) our seizure فَتَمَارَوْا۟but they disputed بِٱلنُّذُرِthe warnings۝٣٦ Āyah 36

وَلَقَدْand certainly رَٰوَدُوهُthey demanded from him عَنthey demanded from him ضَيْفِهِۦhis guests فَطَمَسْنَآso we blinded أَعْيُنَهُمْtheir eyes فَذُوقُوا۟so taste عَذَابِىmy punishment وَنُذُرِand my warnings۝٣٧ Āyah 37

وَلَقَدْand certainly صَبَّحَهُمseized them in the morning بُكْرَةًearly عَذَابٌa punishment مُّسْتَقِرٌّabiding۝٣٨ Āyah 38

فَذُوقُوا۟so taste عَذَابِىmy punishment وَنُذُرِand my warnings۝٣٩ Āyah 39

وَلَقَدْand certainly يَسَّرْنَاwe have made easy ٱلْقُرْءَانَthe quran لِلذِّكْرِfor remembrance فَهَلْso is (there) مِنany مُّدَّكِرٍwho will receive admonition۝٤٠ Āyah 40
