هود

وَإِلَىٰand to عَادٍaad أَخَاهُمْ(we sent) their brother هُودًاhud قَالَhe said يَٰقَوْمِo my people ٱعْبُدُوا۟worship ٱللَّهَallah مَاnot لَكُم(is) for you مِّنْany إِلَٰهٍgod غَيْرُهُۥٓother than him إِنْnot أَنتُمْyou إِلَّا(are) but مُفْتَرُونَinventors۝٥٠ Āyah 50

يَٰقَوْمِo my people لَآnot أَسْـَٔلُكُمْi ask you عَلَيْهِfor it أَجْرًاany reward إِنْnot أَجْرِىَ(is) my reward إِلَّاexcept عَلَىfrom ٱلَّذِىthe one who فَطَرَنِىٓcreated me أَفَلَاthen will not تَعْقِلُونَyou use reason۝٥١ Āyah 51

وَيَٰقَوْمِand o my people ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ask forgiveness رَبَّكُمْ(of) your lord ثُمَّthen تُوبُوٓا۟turn in repentance إِلَيْهِto him يُرْسِلِhe will send ٱلسَّمَآءَ(from) the sky (rain) عَلَيْكُمupon you مِّدْرَارًا(in) abundance وَيَزِدْكُمْand increase you قُوَّةً(in) strength إِلَىٰ(added) to قُوَّتِكُمْyour strength وَلَاand (do) not تَتَوَلَّوْا۟turn away مُجْرِمِينَ(as) criminals۝٥٢ Āyah 52

قَالُوا۟they said يَٰهُودُo hud مَاyou have not brought us جِئْتَنَاyou have not brought us بِبَيِّنَةٍclear proofs وَمَاand not نَحْنُwe بِتَارِكِىٓ(will) leave ءَالِهَتِنَاour gods عَنon قَوْلِكَyour saying وَمَاand not نَحْنُwe (are) لَكَin you بِمُؤْمِنِينَbelievers۝٥٣ Āyah 53

إِنnot نَّقُولُwe say إِلَّاexcept (that) ٱعْتَرَىٰكَhave seized you بَعْضُsome ءَالِهَتِنَا(of) our gods بِسُوٓءٍwith evil قَالَhe said إِنِّىٓindeed i أُشْهِدُ[i] call allah to witness ٱللَّهَ[i] call allah to witness وَٱشْهَدُوٓا۟and (you) bear witness أَنِّىthat i am بَرِىٓءٌinnocent مِّمَّاof what تُشْرِكُونَyou associate۝٥٤ Āyah 54

مِنother than him دُونِهِۦother than him فَكِيدُونِىso plot against me جَمِيعًاall together ثُمَّthen لَا(do) not تُنظِرُونِgive me respite۝٥٥ Āyah 55

إِنِّىindeed i تَوَكَّلْتُ[i] put my trust عَلَىupon ٱللَّهِallah رَبِّىmy lord وَرَبِّكُمand your lord مَّا(there is) not مِنof a moving creature دَآبَّةٍof a moving creature إِلَّاbut هُوَhe ءَاخِذٌۢhas grasp بِنَاصِيَتِهَآof its forelock إِنَّindeed رَبِّىmy lord عَلَىٰ(is) on صِرَٰطٍa path مُّسْتَقِيمٍstraight۝٥٦ Āyah 56

فَإِنso if تَوَلَّوْا۟you turn away فَقَدْthen verily أَبْلَغْتُكُمi have conveyed to you مَّآwhat أُرْسِلْتُi was sent بِهِۦٓwith [it] إِلَيْكُمْto you وَيَسْتَخْلِفُand my lord will give succession رَبِّىand my lord will give succession قَوْمًا(to) a people غَيْرَكُمْother than you وَلَاand not تَضُرُّونَهُۥyou will harm him شَيْـًٔا(in) anything إِنَّindeed رَبِّىmy lord عَلَىٰ(is) on كُلِّall شَىْءٍthings حَفِيظٌa guardian۝٥٧ Āyah 57

وَلَمَّاand when جَآءَcame أَمْرُنَاour command نَجَّيْنَاwe saved هُودًاhud وَٱلَّذِينَand those who ءَامَنُوا۟believed مَعَهُۥwith him بِرَحْمَةٍby a mercy مِّنَّاfrom us وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمand we saved them مِّنْfrom عَذَابٍa punishment غَلِيظٍsevere۝٥٨ Āyah 58

وَتِلْكَand this عَادٌ(was) aad جَحَدُوا۟they rejected بِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) signs رَبِّهِمْ(of) their lord وَعَصَوْا۟and disobeyed رُسُلَهُۥhis messengers وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟and followed أَمْرَ(the) command كُلِّ(of) every جَبَّارٍtyrant عَنِيدٍobstinate۝٥٩ Āyah 59

وَأُتْبِعُوا۟and they were followed فِىin هَٰذِهِthis ٱلدُّنْيَاworld لَعْنَةً(with) a curse وَيَوْمَand (on the) day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the resurrection أَلَآno doubt إِنَّindeed عَادًاaad كَفَرُوا۟disbelieved رَبَّهُمْtheir lord أَلَاso بُعْدًاaway لِّعَادٍwith aad قَوْمِ(the) people هُودٍ(of) hud۝٦٠ Āyah 60
