هود

وَلَقَدْand certainly أَرْسَلْنَاwe sent مُوسَىٰmusa بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاwith our signs وَسُلْطَٰنٍand an authority مُّبِينٍclear۝٩٦ Āyah 96

إِلَىٰto فِرْعَوْنَfiraun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦand his chiefs فَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟but they followed أَمْرَ(the) command of firaun فِرْعَوْنَ(the) command of firaun وَمَآand not أَمْرُ(the) command of firaun فِرْعَوْنَ(the) command of firaun بِرَشِيدٍwas right۝٩٧ Āyah 97

يَقْدُمُhe will precede قَوْمَهُۥhis people يَوْمَ(on the) day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the resurrection فَأَوْرَدَهُمُand lead them ٱلنَّارَ(into) the fire وَبِئْسَand wretched ٱلْوِرْدُ(is) the place ٱلْمَوْرُودُto which (they are) led۝٩٨ Āyah 98

وَأُتْبِعُوا۟and they were followed فِىin هَٰذِهِۦthis لَعْنَةً(by) a curse وَيَوْمَand (on the) day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the resurrection بِئْسَwretched ٱلرِّفْدُ(is) the gift ٱلْمَرْفُودُwhich (will) be given۝٩٩ Āyah 99

ذَٰلِكَthat مِنْ(is) from أَنۢبَآءِ(the) news ٱلْقُرَىٰ(of) the cities نَقُصُّهُۥ(which) we relate عَلَيْكَto you; مِنْهَاof them قَآئِمٌsome are standing وَحَصِيدٌand (some) mown۝١٠٠ Āyah 100

وَمَاand not ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْwe wronged them وَلَٰكِنbut ظَلَمُوٓا۟they wronged أَنفُسَهُمْthemselves فَمَآso not أَغْنَتْavailed عَنْهُمْthem ءَالِهَتُهُمُtheir gods ٱلَّتِىwhich يَدْعُونَthey invoked مِنother than allah دُونِother than allah ٱللَّهِother than allah مِنany شَىْءٍthing لَّمَّاwhen جَآءَcame أَمْرُ(the) command (of) your lord رَبِّكَ(the) command (of) your lord وَمَاand not زَادُوهُمْthey increased them غَيْرَother than تَتْبِيبٍruin۝١٠١ Āyah 101

وَكَذَٰلِكَand thus أَخْذُ(is) the seizure (of) your lord رَبِّكَ(is) the seizure (of) your lord إِذَآwhen أَخَذَhe seizes ٱلْقُرَىٰthe cities وَهِىَwhile they ظَٰلِمَةٌ(are) doing wrong إِنَّindeed أَخْذَهُۥٓhis seizure أَلِيمٌ(is) painful شَدِيدٌ(and) severe۝١٠٢ Āyah 102

إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَةً(is) surely a sign لِّمَنْfor (those) who خَافَfear عَذَابَ(the) punishment ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ(of) the hereafter ذَٰلِكَthat يَوْمٌ(is) a day مَّجْمُوعٌ(will) be gathered لَّهُon it ٱلنَّاسُthe mankind وَذَٰلِكَand that يَوْمٌ(is) a day مَّشْهُودٌwitnessed۝١٠٣ Āyah 103

وَمَاand not نُؤَخِّرُهُۥٓwe delay it إِلَّاexcept لِأَجَلٍfor a term مَّعْدُودٍlimited۝١٠٤ Āyah 104

يَوْمَ(the) day يَأْتِ(it) comes لَاnot تَكَلَّمُwill speak نَفْسٌa soul إِلَّاexcept بِإِذْنِهِۦby his leave فَمِنْهُمْthen among them شَقِىٌّ(will be the) wretched وَسَعِيدٌand (the) glad۝١٠٥ Āyah 105

فَأَمَّاas for ٱلَّذِينَthose who شَقُوا۟were wretched فَفِىthen (they will be) in ٱلنَّارِthe fire لَهُمْfor them فِيهَاtherein زَفِيرٌ(is) sighing وَشَهِيقٌand wailing۝١٠٦ Āyah 106

خَٰلِدِينَ(will be) abiding فِيهَاtherein مَا دَامَتِas long as remain ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُas long as remain وَٱلْأَرْضُthe heavens إِلَّاand the earth مَاexcept شَآءَwhat your lord wills رَبُّكَwhat your lord wills إِنَّwhat your lord wills رَبَّكَindeed فَعَّالٌyour lord لِّمَا(is) all accomplisher يُرِيدُof what۝١٠٧ Āyah 107

وَأَمَّاand as for ٱلَّذِينَthose who سُعِدُوا۟were glad فَفِىthen (they will be) in ٱلْجَنَّةِparadise خَٰلِدِينَ(will be) abiding فِيهَاtherein مَاas long as remains دَامَتِas long as remains ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضُand the earth إِلَّاexcept مَاwhat your lord wills شَآءَwhat your lord wills رَبُّكَwhat your lord wills عَطَآءًa bestowal غَيْرَnot مَجْذُوذٍinterrupted۝١٠٨ Āyah 108

فَلَاso (do) not تَكُbe فِىin مِرْيَةٍdoubt مِّمَّاas to what يَعْبُدُworship هَٰٓؤُلَآءِthese (polytheists) مَاnot يَعْبُدُونَthey worship إِلَّاexcept كَمَاas what يَعْبُدُworshipped ءَابَآؤُهُمtheir forefathers مِّنbefore قَبْلُbefore وَإِنَّاand indeed we لَمُوَفُّوهُمْwill surely pay them in full نَصِيبَهُمْtheir share غَيْرَwithout مَنقُوصٍbeing diminished۝١٠٩ Āyah 109
