يوسف

وَقَالَand said ٱلْمَلِكُthe king ٱئْتُونِىbring him to me بِهِۦbring him to me فَلَمَّاbut when جَآءَهُcame to him ٱلرَّسُولُthe messenger قَالَhe said ٱرْجِعْreturn إِلَىٰto رَبِّكَyour lord فَسْـَٔلْهُand ask him مَاwhat بَالُ(is the) case ٱلنِّسْوَةِ(of) the women ٱلَّٰتِىwho قَطَّعْنَcut أَيْدِيَهُنَّtheir hands إِنَّindeed رَبِّىmy lord بِكَيْدِهِنَّof their plot عَلِيمٌ(is) all knower۝٥٠ Āyah 50

قَالَhe said مَاwhat خَطْبُكُنَّ(was) your affair إِذْwhen رَٰوَدتُّنَّyou sought to seduce يُوسُفَyusuf عَنfrom نَّفْسِهِۦhimself قُلْنَthey said حَٰشَallah forbid لِلَّهِallah forbid مَاnot عَلِمْنَاwe know عَلَيْهِabout him مِنany سُوٓءٍevil قَالَتِsaid ٱمْرَأَتُ(the) wife ٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) aziz ٱلْـَٰٔنَnow حَصْحَصَ(is) manifest ٱلْحَقُّthe truth أَنَا۠i رَٰوَدتُّهُۥsought to seduce him عَنfrom نَّفْسِهِۦhimself وَإِنَّهُۥand indeed he لَمِنَ(is) surely of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَthe truthful۝٥١ Āyah 51

ذَٰلِكَthat لِيَعْلَمَhe may know أَنِّىthat i لَمْnot أَخُنْهُ[i] betray him بِٱلْغَيْبِin secret وَأَنَّand that ٱللَّهَallah لَا(does) not يَهْدِىguide كَيْدَ(the) plan ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ(of) the betrayers۝٥٢ Āyah 52

وَمَآand not أُبَرِّئُi absolve نَفْسِىٓmyself إِنَّindeed ٱلنَّفْسَthe soul لَأَمَّارَةٌۢ(is) a certain enjoiner بِٱلسُّوٓءِof evil إِلَّاunless مَا[that] رَحِمَbestows mercy رَبِّىٓmy lord إِنَّindeed رَبِّىmy lord غَفُورٌ(is) oft forgiving رَّحِيمٌmost merciful۝٥٣ Āyah 53

وَقَالَand said ٱلْمَلِكُthe king ٱئْتُونِىbring him to me; بِهِۦٓbring him to me; أَسْتَخْلِصْهُi will select him لِنَفْسِىfor myself فَلَمَّاthen when كَلَّمَهُۥhe spoke to him قَالَhe said إِنَّكَindeed you ٱلْيَوْمَ(are) today لَدَيْنَاwith us مَكِينٌfirmly established أَمِينٌ(and) trusted۝٥٤ Āyah 54

قَالَhe said ٱجْعَلْنِىappoint me عَلَىٰover خَزَآئِنِ(the) treasuries ٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the land إِنِّىindeed i حَفِيظٌ(will be) a guardian عَلِيمٌknowing۝٥٥ Āyah 55

وَكَذَٰلِكَand thus مَكَّنَّاwe established لِيُوسُفَ[to] yusuf فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe land يَتَبَوَّأُto settle مِنْهَاtherein حَيْثُwhere ever يَشَآءُhe willed نُصِيبُwe bestow بِرَحْمَتِنَاour mercy مَن(on) whom نَّشَآءُwe will وَلَاand not نُضِيعُwe let go waste أَجْرَ(the) reward ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ(of) the good doers۝٥٦ Āyah 56

وَلَأَجْرُand surely (the) reward ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ(of) the hereafter خَيْرٌ(is) better لِّلَّذِينَfor those who ءَامَنُوا۟believe وَكَانُوا۟and are يَتَّقُونَgod conscious۝٥٧ Āyah 57
