يوسف

وَجَآءَand came إِخْوَةُ(the) brothers يُوسُفَ(of) yusuf فَدَخَلُوا۟and they entered عَلَيْهِupon him; فَعَرَفَهُمْand he recognized وَهُمْbut they لَهُۥknew him not مُنكِرُونَknew him not۝٥٨ Āyah 58

وَلَمَّاand when جَهَّزَهُمhe had furnished them بِجَهَازِهِمْwith their supplies قَالَhe said ٱئْتُونِىbring to me بِأَخٍa brother لَّكُمof yours مِّنْfrom أَبِيكُمْyour father أَلَاdo not تَرَوْنَyou see أَنِّىٓthat i أُوفِى[i] give full ٱلْكَيْلَ[the] measure وَأَنَا۠and that i am خَيْرُ(the) best ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ(of) the hosts۝٥٩ Āyah 59

فَإِنbut if لَّمْnot تَأْتُونِىyou bring him to me بِهِۦyou bring him to me فَلَاthen (there will be) no كَيْلَmeasure لَكُمْfor you عِندِىfrom وَلَاand not تَقْرَبُونِyou will come near me۝٦٠ Āyah 60

قَالُوا۟they said سَنُرَٰوِدُwe will try to get permission عَنْهُfor him أَبَاهُ(from) his father وَإِنَّاand indeed we لَفَٰعِلُونَsurely will do۝٦١ Āyah 61

وَقَالَand he said لِفِتْيَٰنِهِto his servants ٱجْعَلُوا۟put بِضَٰعَتَهُمْtheir merchandise فِىin رِحَالِهِمْtheir saddlebags لَعَلَّهُمْso that they يَعْرِفُونَهَآmay recognize it إِذَاwhen ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟they go back إِلَىٰٓto أَهْلِهِمْtheir people لَعَلَّهُمْso that they may يَرْجِعُونَreturn۝٦٢ Āyah 62

فَلَمَّاso when رَجَعُوٓا۟they returned إِلَىٰٓto أَبِيهِمْtheir father قَالُوا۟they said يَٰٓأَبَانَاo our father مُنِعَhas been denied مِنَّاto us ٱلْكَيْلُthe measure فَأَرْسِلْso send مَعَنَآwith us أَخَانَاour brother نَكْتَلْ(that) we will get measure وَإِنَّاand indeed we لَهُۥfor him لَحَٰفِظُونَ(will) surely (be) guardians۝٦٣ Āyah 63

قَالَhe said هَلْshould ءَامَنُكُمْi entrust you عَلَيْهِwith him إِلَّاexcept كَمَآas أَمِنتُكُمْi entrusted you عَلَىٰٓwith أَخِيهِhis brother مِنbefore قَبْلُbefore فَٱللَّهُbut allah خَيْرٌ(is) the best حَٰفِظًاguardian وَهُوَand he أَرْحَمُ(is the) most merciful ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ(of) the merciful۝٦٤ Āyah 64

وَلَمَّاand when فَتَحُوا۟they opened مَتَٰعَهُمْtheir baggage وَجَدُوا۟they found بِضَٰعَتَهُمْtheir merchandise رُدَّتْreturned إِلَيْهِمْto them قَالُوا۟they said يَٰٓأَبَانَاo our father مَاwhat نَبْغِى(could) we desire هَٰذِهِۦthis بِضَٰعَتُنَا(is) our merchandise رُدَّتْreturned إِلَيْنَاto us وَنَمِيرُand we will get provision أَهْلَنَا(for) our family وَنَحْفَظُand we will protect أَخَانَاour brother وَنَزْدَادُand get an increase كَيْلَmeasure بَعِيرٍ(of) a camels (load) ذَٰلِكَthat كَيْلٌ(is) a measurement يَسِيرٌeasy۝٦٥ Āyah 65

قَالَhe said لَنْnever أُرْسِلَهُۥwill i send him مَعَكُمْwith you حَتَّىٰuntil تُؤْتُونِyou give to me مَوْثِقًاa promise مِّنَby ٱللَّهِallah لَتَأْتُنَّنِىthat surely you will bring him to me بِهِۦٓthat surely you will bring him to me إِلَّآunless أَنthat يُحَاطَyou are surrounded بِكُمْyou are surrounded فَلَمَّآand when ءَاتَوْهُthey had given him مَوْثِقَهُمْtheir promise قَالَhe said ٱللَّهُallah عَلَىٰover مَاwhat نَقُولُwe say وَكِيلٌ(is) a guardian۝٦٦ Āyah 66

وَقَالَand he said يَٰبَنِىَّo my sons لَا(do) not تَدْخُلُوا۟enter مِنۢfrom بَابٍone gate وَٰحِدٍone gate وَٱدْخُلُوا۟but enter مِنْfrom أَبْوَٰبٍgates مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍdifferent وَمَآand not أُغْنِىi can avail عَنكُمyou مِّنَagainst ٱللَّهِallah مِنany شَىْءٍthing إِنِnot ٱلْحُكْمُ(is) the decision إِلَّاexcept لِلَّهِwith allah عَلَيْهِupon him تَوَكَّلْتُi put my trust وَعَلَيْهِand upon him فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِlet put (their) trust ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَthe ones who put trust۝٦٧ Āyah 67

وَلَمَّاand when دَخَلُوا۟they entered مِنْfrom حَيْثُwhere أَمَرَهُمْordered them أَبُوهُمtheir father مَّاnot كَانَit يُغْنِىavail(ed) عَنْهُمthem مِّنَagainst ٱللَّهِallah مِنany شَىْءٍthing إِلَّاbut حَاجَةً(it was) a need فِىof نَفْسِyaqubs soul يَعْقُوبَyaqubs soul قَضَىٰهَاwhich he carried out وَإِنَّهُۥand indeed he لَذُو(was) a possessor عِلْمٍ(of) knowledge لِّمَاbecause عَلَّمْنَٰهُwe had taught him وَلَٰكِنَّbut أَكْثَرَmost ٱلنَّاسِ(of) the people لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٦٨ Āyah 68
