الحجر

وَلَقَدْand verily خَلَقْنَاwe created ٱلْإِنسَٰنَhumankind مِن(out) of صَلْصَٰلٍsounding clay مِّنْfrom حَمَإٍblack mud مَّسْنُونٍaltered۝٢٦ Āyah 26

وَٱلْجَآنَّand the jinn خَلَقْنَٰهُwe created it مِنbefore قَبْلُbefore مِنfrom نَّارِfire ٱلسَّمُومِscorching۝٢٧ Āyah 27

وَإِذْand when قَالَyour lord said رَبُّكَyour lord said لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِto the angels إِنِّىindeed i خَٰلِقٌۢ(will) create بَشَرًاa human being مِّن(out) of صَلْصَٰلٍclay مِّنْfrom حَمَإٍblack mud مَّسْنُونٍaltered۝٢٨ Āyah 28

فَإِذَاso when سَوَّيْتُهُۥi have fashioned him وَنَفَخْتُand [i] breathed فِيهِinto him مِنof رُّوحِىmy spirit فَقَعُوا۟then fall down لَهُۥto him سَٰجِدِينَprostrating۝٢٩ Āyah 29

فَسَجَدَso prostrated ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe angels كُلُّهُمْall of them أَجْمَعُونَtogether۝٣٠ Āyah 30

إِلَّآexcept إِبْلِيسَiblis أَبَىٰٓhe refused أَنto يَكُونَbe مَعَwith ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَthose who prostrated۝٣١ Āyah 31

قَالَhe said يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُo iblis مَاwhat لَكَ(is) for you أَلَّاthat not تَكُونَyou are مَعَwith ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَthose who prostrated۝٣٢ Āyah 32

قَالَhe said لَمْi am not أَكُنi am not لِّأَسْجُدَ(one) to prostrate لِبَشَرٍto a human خَلَقْتَهُۥwhom you created مِن(out) of صَلْصَٰلٍclay مِّنْfrom حَمَإٍblack mud مَّسْنُونٍaltered۝٣٣ Āyah 33

قَالَhe said فَٱخْرُجْthen get out مِنْهَاof it فَإِنَّكَfor indeed you رَجِيمٌ(are) expelled۝٣٤ Āyah 34

وَإِنَّand indeed عَلَيْكَupon you ٱللَّعْنَةَ(will be) the curse إِلَىٰtill يَوْمِ(the) day ٱلدِّينِ(of) [the] judgment۝٣٥ Āyah 35

قَالَhe said رَبِّo my lord فَأَنظِرْنِىٓthen give me إِلَىٰtill يَوْمِ(the) day يُبْعَثُونَthey are raised۝٣٦ Āyah 36

قَالَhe said فَإِنَّكَthen indeed you مِنَ(are) of ٱلْمُنظَرِينَthe ones given respite۝٣٧ Āyah 37

إِلَىٰtill يَوْمِthe day ٱلْوَقْتِ(of) the time ٱلْمَعْلُومِwell known۝٣٨ Āyah 38

قَالَhe said رَبِّmy lord بِمَآbecause أَغْوَيْتَنِىyou misled me لَأُزَيِّنَنَّsurely i will make (evil) fair seeming لَهُمْto them فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْand i will mislead them أَجْمَعِينَall۝٣٩ Āyah 39

إِلَّاexcept عِبَادَكَyour slaves مِنْهُمُamong them ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَthe ones who are sincere۝٤٠ Āyah 40

قَالَhe said هَٰذَاthis صِرَٰطٌ(is) the way عَلَىَّto me مُسْتَقِيمٌstraight۝٤١ Āyah 41

إِنَّindeed عِبَادِىmy slaves لَيْسَnot لَكَyou have عَلَيْهِمْover them سُلْطَٰنٌany authority إِلَّاexcept مَنِthose who ٱتَّبَعَكَfollow you مِنَof ٱلْغَاوِينَthe ones who go astray۝٤٢ Āyah 42

وَإِنَّand indeed جَهَنَّمَhell لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ(is) surely the promised placer them أَجْمَعِينَall۝٤٣ Āyah 43

لَهَاfor it سَبْعَةُ(are) seven أَبْوَٰبٍgates لِّكُلِّfor each بَابٍgate مِّنْهُمْamong them جُزْءٌ(is) a portion مَّقْسُومٌassigned۝٤٤ Āyah 44
