الإسراء

وَإِذْand when قُلْنَاwe said لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِto the angels ٱسْجُدُوا۟prostrate لِـَٔادَمَto adam فَسَجَدُوٓا۟so they prostrated إِلَّآexcept إِبْلِيسَiblis قَالَhe said ءَأَسْجُدُshall i prostrate لِمَنْto (one) whom خَلَقْتَyou created طِينًا(from) clay۝٦١ Āyah 61

قَالَhe said أَرَءَيْتَكَdo you see هَٰذَاthis ٱلَّذِىwhom كَرَّمْتَyou have honored عَلَىَّabove me لَئِنْif أَخَّرْتَنِyou give me respite إِلَىٰtill يَوْمِ(the) day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the resurrection لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّi will surely destroy ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓhis offspring إِلَّاexcept قَلِيلًاa few۝٦٢ Āyah 62

قَالَhe said ٱذْهَبْgo فَمَنand whoever تَبِعَكَfollows you مِنْهُمْamong them فَإِنَّthen indeed جَهَنَّمَhell جَزَآؤُكُمْ(is) your recompense جَزَآءًa recompense مَّوْفُورًاample۝٦٣ Āyah 63

وَٱسْتَفْزِزْand incite مَنِwhoever ٱسْتَطَعْتَyou can مِنْهُمamong them بِصَوْتِكَwith your voice وَأَجْلِبْand assault عَلَيْهِم[on] them بِخَيْلِكَwith your cavalry وَرَجِلِكَand infantry وَشَارِكْهُمْand be a partner فِىin ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِthe wealth وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِand the children وَعِدْهُمْand promise them وَمَاand not يَعِدُهُمُpromises them ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe shaitaan إِلَّاexcept غُرُورًاdelusion۝٦٤ Āyah 64

إِنَّindeed عِبَادِىmy slaves لَيْسَnot لَكَfor you عَلَيْهِمْover them سُلْطَٰنٌany authority وَكَفَىٰand sufficient بِرَبِّكَ(is) your lord وَكِيلًا(as) a guardian۝٦٥ Āyah 65

رَّبُّكُمُyour lord ٱلَّذِى(is) the one who يُزْجِىdrives لَكُمُfor you ٱلْفُلْكَthe ship فِىin ٱلْبَحْرِthe sea لِتَبْتَغُوا۟that you may seek مِنof فَضْلِهِۦٓhis bounty إِنَّهُۥindeed he كَانَis بِكُمْto you رَحِيمًاever merciful۝٦٦ Āyah 66

وَإِذَاand when مَسَّكُمُtouches you ٱلضُّرُّthe hardship فِىin ٱلْبَحْرِthe sea ضَلَّlost مَن(are) who تَدْعُونَyou call إِلَّآexcept إِيَّاهُhim alone فَلَمَّاbut when نَجَّىٰكُمْhe delivers you إِلَىto ٱلْبَرِّthe land أَعْرَضْتُمْyou turn away وَكَانَand is ٱلْإِنسَٰنُman كَفُورًاungrateful۝٦٧ Āyah 67

أَفَأَمِنتُمْdo you then feel secure أَنthat (not) يَخْسِفَhe will cause to swallow بِكُمْyou جَانِبَside ٱلْبَرِّ(of) the land أَوْor يُرْسِلَsend عَلَيْكُمْagainst you حَاصِبًاa storm of stones ثُمَّthen لَاnot تَجِدُوا۟you will find لَكُمْfor you وَكِيلًاa guardian۝٦٨ Āyah 68

أَمْor أَمِنتُمْdo you feel secure أَنthat (not) يُعِيدَكُمْhe will send you back فِيهِinto it تَارَةًanother time أُخْرَىٰanother time فَيُرْسِلَand send عَلَيْكُمْupon you قَاصِفًاa hurricane مِّنَof ٱلرِّيحِthe wind فَيُغْرِقَكُمand drown you بِمَاbecause كَفَرْتُمْyou disbelieved ثُمَّthen لَاnot تَجِدُوا۟you will find لَكُمْfor you عَلَيْنَاagainst us بِهِۦtherein تَبِيعًاan avenger۝٦٩ Āyah 69

وَلَقَدْand certainly كَرَّمْنَاwe have honored بَنِىٓ(the) children of adam ءَادَمَ(the) children of adam وَحَمَلْنَٰهُمْand we carried them فِىon ٱلْبَرِّthe land وَٱلْبَحْرِand the sea وَرَزَقْنَٰهُمand we have provided them مِّنَof ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِthe good things وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْand we preferred them عَلَىٰover كَثِيرٍmany مِّمَّنْof those whom خَلَقْنَاwe have created تَفْضِيلًا(with) preference۝٧٠ Āyah 70
