وَلَوْلَاand if not كَلِمَةٌ(for) a word سَبَقَتْ(that) preceded مِنfrom رَّبِّكَyour lord لَكَانَsurely (would) have been لِزَامًاan obligation وَأَجَلٌand a term مُّسَمًّىdetermined۝١٢٩ Āyah 129

فَٱصْبِرْso be patient عَلَىٰover مَاwhat يَقُولُونَthey say وَسَبِّحْand glorify بِحَمْدِwith praise رَبِّكَ(of) your lord قَبْلَbefore طُلُوعِ(the) rising ٱلشَّمْسِ(of) the sun وَقَبْلَand before غُرُوبِهَاits setting; وَمِنْand from ءَانَآئِ(the) hours ٱلَّيْلِ(of) the night فَسَبِّحْand glorify وَأَطْرَافَ(at the) ends ٱلنَّهَارِ(of) the day لَعَلَّكَso that you may تَرْضَىٰbe satisfied۝١٣٠ Āyah 130

وَلَاand (do) not تَمُدَّنَّextend عَيْنَيْكَyour eyes إِلَىٰtowards مَاwhat مَتَّعْنَاwe have given for enjoyment بِهِۦٓ[with it] أَزْوَٰجًاpairs مِّنْهُمْof them زَهْرَةَ(the) splendor ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world لِنَفْتِنَهُمْthat we may test them فِيهِin it وَرِزْقُand (the) provision رَبِّكَ(of) your lord خَيْرٌ(is) better وَأَبْقَىٰand more lasting۝١٣١ Āyah 131

وَأْمُرْand enjoin أَهْلَكَ(on) your family بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِthe prayer وَٱصْطَبِرْand be steadfast عَلَيْهَاtherein لَاnot نَسْـَٔلُكَwe ask you رِزْقًا(for) provision; نَّحْنُwe نَرْزُقُكَprovide (for) you وَٱلْعَٰقِبَةُand the outcome لِلتَّقْوَىٰ(is) for the righteous[ness]۝١٣٢ Āyah 132

وَقَالُوا۟and they say لَوْلَاwhy not يَأْتِينَاhe brings us بِـَٔايَةٍa sign مِّنfrom رَّبِّهِۦٓhis lord أَوَلَمْhas not تَأْتِهِمcome to them بَيِّنَةُevidence مَا(of) what فِى(was) in ٱلصُّحُفِthe scriptures ٱلْأُولَىٰthe former۝١٣٣ Āyah 133

وَلَوْand if أَنَّآwe أَهْلَكْنَٰهُم(had) destroyed them بِعَذَابٍwith a punishment مِّنbefore him قَبْلِهِۦbefore him لَقَالُوا۟surely they (would) have said رَبَّنَاour lord لَوْلَآwhy not أَرْسَلْتَyou sent إِلَيْنَاto us رَسُولًاa messenger فَنَتَّبِعَso we (could) have followed ءَايَٰتِكَyour مِنbefore قَبْلِbefore أَن[that] نَّذِلَّwe were humiliated وَنَخْزَىٰand disgraced۝١٣٤ Āyah 134

قُلْsay كُلٌّeach مُّتَرَبِّصٌ(is) waiting; فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟so await فَسَتَعْلَمُونَthen you will know مَنْwho أَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companions ٱلصِّرَٰطِ(of) the way ٱلسَّوِىِّ[the] even وَمَنِand who ٱهْتَدَىٰis guided۝١٣٥ Āyah 135
