الأنبياء

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

ٱقْتَرَبَ(has) approached لِلنَّاسِfor [the] mankind حِسَابُهُمْtheir account وَهُمْwhile they فِى(are) in غَفْلَةٍheedlessness مُّعْرِضُونَturning away۝١ Āyah 1

مَاnot يَأْتِيهِمcomes to them مِّنof ذِكْرٍa reminder مِّنfrom رَّبِّهِمtheir lord مُّحْدَثٍanew إِلَّاexcept ٱسْتَمَعُوهُthey listen to it وَهُمْwhile they يَلْعَبُونَ(are at) play۝٢ Āyah 2

لَاهِيَةًdistracted قُلُوبُهُمْtheir hearts وَأَسَرُّوا۟and they conceal ٱلنَّجْوَىthe private conversation ٱلَّذِينَthose who ظَلَمُوا۟[they] wronged هَلْis هَٰذَآthis إِلَّاexcept بَشَرٌa human being مِّثْلُكُمْlike you أَفَتَأْتُونَso would you app ٱلسِّحْرَthe magic وَأَنتُمْwhile you تُبْصِرُونَsee (it)۝٣ Āyah 3

قَالَhe said رَبِّىmy lord يَعْلَمُknows ٱلْقَوْلَthe word فِىin ٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth وَهُوَand he ٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the all hearer ٱلْعَلِيمُthe all knower۝٤ Āyah 4

بَلْnay قَالُوٓا۟they say أَضْغَٰثُmuddled أَحْلَٰمٍۭdreams; بَلِnay ٱفْتَرَىٰهُhe (has) invented it; بَلْnay هُوَhe شَاعِرٌ(is) a poet فَلْيَأْتِنَاso let him bring us بِـَٔايَةٍa sign كَمَآlike what أُرْسِلَwas sent ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ(to) the former۝٥ Āyah 5

مَآnot ءَامَنَتْbelieved قَبْلَهُمbefore them مِّنany قَرْيَةٍtown أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآwhich we destroyed أَفَهُمْso will they يُؤْمِنُونَbelieve۝٦ Āyah 6

وَمَآand not أَرْسَلْنَاwe sent قَبْلَكَbefore you إِلَّاexcept رِجَالًاmen نُّوحِىٓwe revealed إِلَيْهِمْto them فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟so ask أَهْلَ(the) people ٱلذِّكْرِ(of) the reminder إِنif كُنتُمْyou لَا(do) not تَعْلَمُونَknow۝٧ Āyah 7

وَمَاand not جَعَلْنَٰهُمْwe made them جَسَدًاbodies لَّاnot يَأْكُلُونَeating ٱلطَّعَامَthe food وَمَاand not كَانُوا۟they were خَٰلِدِينَimmortals۝٨ Āyah 8

ثُمَّthen صَدَقْنَٰهُمُwe fulfilled (for) them ٱلْوَعْدَthe promise فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُمْand we saved them وَمَنand whom نَّشَآءُwe وَأَهْلَكْنَاand we destroyed ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَthe transgressors۝٩ Āyah 9

لَقَدْindeed أَنزَلْنَآwe (have) sent down إِلَيْكُمْto you كِتَٰبًاa book فِيهِin it ذِكْرُكُمْ(is) your mention أَفَلَاthen will not تَعْقِلُونَyou use reason۝١٠ Āyah 10
