المؤمنون

وَلَقَدْand verily أَرْسَلْنَاwe sent نُوحًاnuh إِلَىٰto قَوْمِهِۦhis people فَقَالَand he said يَٰقَوْمِo my people ٱعْبُدُوا۟worship ٱللَّهَallah; مَاnot لَكُمfor you مِّنْ(is) any إِلَٰهٍgod غَيْرُهُۥٓother than him أَفَلَاthen will not تَتَّقُونَyou fear۝٢٣ Āyah 23

فَقَالَbut said ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟the chiefs ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieved مِنamong قَوْمِهِۦhis people مَاthis is not هَٰذَآthis is not إِلَّاbut بَشَرٌa man مِّثْلُكُمْlike you يُرِيدُhe wishes أَنto يَتَفَضَّلَassert (his) superiority عَلَيْكُمْover you وَلَوْand if شَآءَallah had willed ٱللَّهُallah had willed لَأَنزَلَsurely he (would have) sent down مَلَٰٓئِكَةًangels مَّاnot سَمِعْنَاwe heard بِهَٰذَاof this فِىٓfrom ءَابَآئِنَاour forefathers ٱلْأَوَّلِينَour forefathers۝٢٤ Āyah 24

إِنْnot هُوَhe إِلَّا(is) but رَجُلٌۢa man بِهِۦin him جِنَّةٌ(is) madness فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟so wait بِهِۦconcerning him حَتَّىٰuntil حِينٍa time۝٢٥ Āyah 25

قَالَhe said رَبِّmy lord ٱنصُرْنِىhelp me بِمَاbecause كَذَّبُونِthey deny me۝٢٦ Āyah 26

فَأَوْحَيْنَآso we inspired إِلَيْهِto him أَنِthat ٱصْنَعِconstruct ٱلْفُلْكَthe ship بِأَعْيُنِنَاunder our eyes وَوَحْيِنَاand our inspiration فَإِذَاthen when جَآءَcomes أَمْرُنَاour command وَفَارَand gushes forth ٱلتَّنُّورُthe oven فَٱسْلُكْthen put فِيهَاinto it مِنof كُلٍّevery (kind) زَوْجَيْنِ(of) mates ٱثْنَيْنِtwo وَأَهْلَكَand your family إِلَّاexcept مَنthose سَبَقَ(has) preceded عَلَيْهِagainst whom ٱلْقَوْلُthe word مِنْهُمْthereof وَلَاand (do) not تُخَٰطِبْنِىaddress me فِىconcerning ٱلَّذِينَthose who ظَلَمُوٓا۟wronged إِنَّهُمindeed they مُّغْرَقُونَ(are) the ones to be drowned۝٢٧ Āyah 27

فَإِذَاand when ٱسْتَوَيْتَyou (have) boarded أَنتَyou وَمَنand whoever مَّعَكَ(is) with you عَلَى[on] ٱلْفُلْكِthe ship فَقُلِthen say ٱلْحَمْدُpraise لِلَّهِ(be) to allah ٱلَّذِىwho نَجَّىٰنَا(has) saved us مِنَfrom ٱلْقَوْمِthe people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers۝٢٨ Āyah 28

وَقُلand say رَّبِّmy lord أَنزِلْنِىcause me to land مُنزَلًا(at) a landing place مُّبَارَكًاblessed وَأَنتَand you خَيْرُ(are) the best ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ(of) those who cause to۝٢٩ Āyah 29

إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَٰتٍsurely (are) signs وَإِنand indeed كُنَّاwe are لَمُبْتَلِينَsurely testing۝٣٠ Āyah 30

ثُمَّthen أَنشَأْنَاwe produced مِنۢafter them بَعْدِهِمْafter them قَرْنًاa generation ءَاخَرِينَanother۝٣١ Āyah 31

فَأَرْسَلْنَاand we sent فِيهِمْamong them رَسُولًاa messenger مِّنْهُمْfrom themselves أَنِ[that] ٱعْبُدُوا۟worship ٱللَّهَallah; مَاnot لَكُمfor you مِّنْ(is) any إِلَٰهٍgod غَيْرُهُۥٓother than him أَفَلَاthen will not تَتَّقُونَyou fear۝٣٢ Āyah 32
