النور

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you ٱلَّذِينَwho ءَامَنُوا۟believe لَا(do) not تَدْخُلُوا۟enter بُيُوتًاhouses غَيْرَother (than) بُيُوتِكُمْyour houses حَتَّىٰuntil تَسْتَأْنِسُوا۟you have asked permission وَتُسَلِّمُوا۟and you have greeted عَلَىٰٓ[on] أَهْلِهَاits inhabitants ذَٰلِكُمْthat خَيْرٌ(is) best لَّكُمْfor you لَعَلَّكُمْso that you may تَذَكَّرُونَpay heed۝٢٧ Āyah 27

فَإِنbut if لَّمْnot تَجِدُوا۟you find فِيهَآin it أَحَدًاanyone فَلَاthen (do) not تَدْخُلُوهَاenter it حَتَّىٰuntil يُؤْذَنَpermission has been given لَكُمْto you وَإِنand if قِيلَit is said لَكُمُto you ٱرْجِعُوا۟go back فَٱرْجِعُوا۟then go back; هُوَit أَزْكَىٰ(is) purer لَكُمْfor you وَٱللَّهُand allah بِمَاof what تَعْمَلُونَyou do عَلِيمٌ(is) all knower۝٢٨ Āyah 28

لَّيْسَnot عَلَيْكُمْupon you جُنَاحٌ(is) any blame أَنthat تَدْخُلُوا۟you enter بُيُوتًاhouses غَيْرَnot مَسْكُونَةٍinhabited فِيهَاin it مَتَٰعٌ(is) a provision لَّكُمْfor you وَٱللَّهُand allah يَعْلَمُknows مَاwhat تُبْدُونَyou reveal وَمَاand what تَكْتُمُونَyou conceal۝٢٩ Āyah 29

قُلsay لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَto the believing men يَغُضُّوا۟they should lower مِنْtheir gaze أَبْصَٰرِهِمْtheir gaze وَيَحْفَظُوا۟and they should guard فُرُوجَهُمْtheir chastity ذَٰلِكَthat أَزْكَىٰ(is) purer لَهُمْfor them إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah خَبِيرٌۢ(is) all aware بِمَاof what يَصْنَعُونَthey do۝٣٠ Āyah 30

وَقُلand say لِّلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِto the believing women يَغْضُضْنَ(that) they should lower مِنْ[of] أَبْصَٰرِهِنَّtheir gaze وَيَحْفَظْنَand they should guard فُرُوجَهُنَّtheir chastity وَلَاand not يُبْدِينَ(to) display زِينَتَهُنَّtheir adornment إِلَّاexcept مَاwhat ظَهَرَis apparent مِنْهَاof it وَلْيَضْرِبْنَand let them بِخُمُرِهِنَّtheir head covers عَلَىٰover جُيُوبِهِنَّtheir bosoms وَلَاand not يُبْدِينَ(to) display زِينَتَهُنَّtheir adornment إِلَّاexcept لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّto their husbands أَوْor ءَابَآئِهِنَّtheir fathers أَوْor ءَابَآءِfathers بُعُولَتِهِنَّ(of) their husbands أَوْor أَبْنَآئِهِنَّtheir sons أَوْor أَبْنَآءِsons بُعُولَتِهِنَّ(of) their husbands أَوْor إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّtheir brothers أَوْor بَنِىٓsons إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ(of) their brothers أَوْor بَنِىٓsons أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ(of) their sisters أَوْor نِسَآئِهِنَّtheir women أَوْor مَاwhat مَلَكَتْpossess أَيْمَٰنُهُنَّtheir right hands أَوِor ٱلتَّٰبِعِينَthe attendants غَيْرِhaving no physical desire أُو۟لِىhaving no physical desire ٱلْإِرْبَةِhaving no physical desire مِنَamong ٱلرِّجَالِ[the] men أَوِor ٱلطِّفْلِ[the] children ٱلَّذِينَwho لَمْ(are) not يَظْهَرُوا۟aware عَلَىٰof عَوْرَٰتِprivate aspects ٱلنِّسَآءِ(of) the women وَلَاand not يَضْرِبْنَlet them بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّtheir feet لِيُعْلَمَto make known مَاwhat يُخْفِينَthey conceal مِنof زِينَتِهِنَّtheir adornment وَتُوبُوٓا۟and turn إِلَىto ٱللَّهِallah جَمِيعًاaltogether أَيُّهَo believers ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَo believers لَعَلَّكُمْso that you may تُفْلِحُونَsucceed۝٣١ Āyah 31

وَأَنكِحُوا۟and marry ٱلْأَيَٰمَىٰthe single مِنكُمْamong you وَٱلصَّٰلِحِينَand the righteous مِنْamong عِبَادِكُمْyour male slaves وَإِمَآئِكُمْand your female slaves إِنif يَكُونُوا۟they are فُقَرَآءَpoor يُغْنِهِمُallah will enrich them ٱللَّهُallah will enrich them مِنfrom فَضْلِهِۦhis bounty وَٱللَّهُand allah وَٰسِعٌ(is) all encompassing عَلِيمٌall knowing۝٣٢ Āyah 32

وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِand let be chaste ٱلَّذِينَthose who لَا(do) not يَجِدُونَfind نِكَاحًا(means for) marriage حَتَّىٰuntil يُغْنِيَهُمُallah enriches them ٱللَّهُallah enriches them مِنfrom فَضْلِهِۦhis bounty وَٱلَّذِينَand those who يَبْتَغُونَseek ٱلْكِتَٰبَthe writing مِمَّاfrom (hose) whom مَلَكَتْpossess أَيْمَٰنُكُمْyour right hands فَكَاتِبُوهُمْthen give them (he) writing إِنْif عَلِمْتُمْyou know فِيهِمْin them خَيْرًاany good وَءَاتُوهُمand give them مِّنfrom مَّالِthe wealth of allah ٱللَّهِthe wealth of allah ٱلَّذِىٓwhich ءَاتَىٰكُمْhe has given you وَلَاand (do) not تُكْرِهُوا۟compel فَتَيَٰتِكُمْyour slave girls عَلَىto ٱلْبِغَآءِ[the] prostitution إِنْif أَرَدْنَthey desire تَحَصُّنًاchastity لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟that you may seek عَرَضَtemporary gain ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world وَمَنand whoever يُكْرِههُّنَّcompels them فَإِنَّthen indeed ٱللَّهَallah مِنۢafter بَعْدِafter إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّtheir compulsion غَفُورٌ(is) oft forgiving رَّحِيمٌmost merciful۝٣٣ Āyah 33

وَلَقَدْand verily أَنزَلْنَآwe have sent down إِلَيْكُمْto you ءَايَٰتٍverses مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍclear وَمَثَلًاand an example مِّنَof ٱلَّذِينَthose who خَلَوْا۟passed away مِنbefore you قَبْلِكُمْbefore you وَمَوْعِظَةًand an admonition لِّلْمُتَّقِينَfor those who fear (allah)۝٣٤ Āyah 34
