الفرقان

وَقَالَand said ٱلَّذِينَthose who لَا(do) not يَرْجُونَexpect لِقَآءَنَا(the) meeting with us لَوْلَآwhy not أُنزِلَare sent down عَلَيْنَاto us ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe angels أَوْor نَرَىٰwe see رَبَّنَاour lord لَقَدِindeed ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟they have become arrogant فِىٓwithin أَنفُسِهِمْthemselves وَعَتَوْand (become) insolent عُتُوًّا(with) insolence كَبِيرًاgreat۝٢١ Āyah 21

يَوْمَ(the) day يَرَوْنَthey see ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَthe angels لَاno بُشْرَىٰglad tidings يَوْمَئِذٍ(will be) that day لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَfor the criminals وَيَقُولُونَand they will say حِجْرًاa partition مَّحْجُورًاforbidden۝٢٢ Āyah 22

وَقَدِمْنَآand we will proceed إِلَىٰto مَاwhatever عَمِلُوا۟they did مِنْof عَمَلٍ(the) deed(s) فَجَعَلْنَٰهُand we will make them هَبَآءً(as) dust مَّنثُورًاdispersed۝٢٣ Āyah 23

أَصْحَٰبُ(the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) paradise يَوْمَئِذٍthat day خَيْرٌ(will be in) a better مُّسْتَقَرًّاabode وَأَحْسَنُand a better مَقِيلًاresting place۝٢٤ Āyah 24

وَيَوْمَand (the) day تَشَقَّقُwill split open ٱلسَّمَآءُthe heavens بِٱلْغَمَٰمِwith the clouds وَنُزِّلَand (will be) sent down ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe angels تَنزِيلًاdescending۝٢٥ Āyah 25

ٱلْمُلْكُthe sovereignty يَوْمَئِذٍthat day ٱلْحَقُّ(will be) truly لِلرَّحْمَٰنِfor the most gracious وَكَانَand (it will) be يَوْمًاa day عَلَىfor ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers عَسِيرًاdifficult۝٢٦ Āyah 26

وَيَوْمَand (the) day يَعَضُّwill bite ٱلظَّالِمُthe wrongdoer عَلَىٰ[on] يَدَيْهِhis hands يَقُولُhe will say يَٰلَيْتَنِىo i wish ٱتَّخَذْتُi had taken مَعَwith ٱلرَّسُولِthe messenger سَبِيلًاa way۝٢٧ Āyah 27

يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰo woe to me لَيْتَنِىi wish لَمْnot أَتَّخِذْi had taken فُلَانًاthat one خَلِيلًا(as) a friend۝٢٨ Āyah 28

لَّقَدْverily أَضَلَّنِىhe led me astray عَنِfrom ٱلذِّكْرِthe reminder بَعْدَafter إِذْ[when] جَآءَنِىit (had) come to me وَكَانَand is ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe shaitaan لِلْإِنسَٰنِto the man خَذُولًاa deserter۝٢٩ Āyah 29

وَقَالَand said ٱلرَّسُولُthe messenger يَٰرَبِّo my lord إِنَّindeed قَوْمِىmy people ٱتَّخَذُوا۟took هَٰذَاthis ٱلْقُرْءَانَthe quran مَهْجُورًا(as) a forsaken thing۝٣٠ Āyah 30

وَكَذَٰلِكَand thus جَعَلْنَاwe have made لِكُلِّfor every نَبِىٍّprophet عَدُوًّاan enemy مِّنَamong ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَthe criminals وَكَفَىٰbut sufficient is بِرَبِّكَyour lord هَادِيًا(as) a guide وَنَصِيرًاand a helper۝٣١ Āyah 31

وَقَالَand said ٱلَّذِينَthose who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieve لَوْلَاwhy not نُزِّلَwas revealed عَلَيْهِto him ٱلْقُرْءَانُthe quran جُمْلَةًall at once وَٰحِدَةًall at once كَذَٰلِكَthus لِنُثَبِّتَthat we may strengthen بِهِۦthereby فُؤَادَكَyour heart وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُand we have recited it تَرْتِيلًا(with distinct) recitation۝٣٢ Āyah 32

وَلَاand not يَأْتُونَكَthey come to you بِمَثَلٍwith an example إِلَّاbut جِئْنَٰكَwe bring you بِٱلْحَقِّthe truth وَأَحْسَنَand (the) best تَفْسِيرًاexplanation۝٣٣ Āyah 33

ٱلَّذِينَthose who يُحْشَرُونَwill be gathered عَلَىٰon وُجُوهِهِمْtheir faces إِلَىٰto جَهَنَّمَhell أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose شَرٌّ(are the) worst مَّكَانًا(in) position وَأَضَلُّand most astray سَبِيلًا(from the) way۝٣٤ Āyah 34
