الشعراء

قَالَhe said لِلْمَلَإِto the chiefs حَوْلَهُۥٓaround him إِنَّindeed هَٰذَاthis لَسَٰحِرٌ(is) surely a magician عَلِيمٌlearned۝٣٤ Āyah 34

يُرِيدُhe wants أَنto يُخْرِجَكُمdrive you out مِّنْfrom أَرْضِكُمyour land بِسِحْرِهِۦby his magic فَمَاذَاso what تَأْمُرُونَ(do) you advise۝٣٥ Āyah 35

قَالُوٓا۟they said أَرْجِهْpostpone him وَأَخَاهُand his brother وَٱبْعَثْand send فِىin ٱلْمَدَآئِنِthe cities حَٰشِرِينَgatherers۝٣٦ Āyah 36

يَأْتُوكَthey (will) bring to you بِكُلِّevery سَحَّارٍmagician عَلِيمٍlearned۝٣٧ Āyah 37

فَجُمِعَso were assembled ٱلسَّحَرَةُthe magicians لِمِيقَٰتِfor (the) appointment يَوْمٍ(on) a day مَّعْلُومٍwell known۝٣٨ Āyah 38

وَقِيلَand it was said لِلنَّاسِto the people هَلْwill أَنتُمyou مُّجْتَمِعُونَassemble۝٣٩ Āyah 39

لَعَلَّنَاthat we may نَتَّبِعُfollow ٱلسَّحَرَةَthe magicians إِنif كَانُوا۟they are هُمُthey are ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَthe victorious۝٤٠ Āyah 40

فَلَمَّاso when جَآءَcame ٱلسَّحَرَةُthe magicians قَالُوا۟they said لِفِرْعَوْنَto firaun أَئِنَّis there لَنَاfor us لَأَجْرًاa reward إِنif كُنَّاwe are نَحْنُwe are ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَthe victorious۝٤١ Āyah 41

قَالَhe said نَعَمْyes وَإِنَّكُمْand indeed you إِذًاthen لَّمِنَsurely (will be) of ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَthe ones who are brought near۝٤٢ Āyah 42

قَالَsaid لَهُمto them مُّوسَىٰٓmusa أَلْقُوا۟throw مَآwhat أَنتُمyou مُّلْقُونَ(are) going to throw۝٤٣ Āyah 43

فَأَلْقَوْا۟so they threw حِبَالَهُمْtheir ropes وَعِصِيَّهُمْand their staffs وَقَالُوا۟and said بِعِزَّةِby the might فِرْعَوْنَ(of) firaun إِنَّاindeed we لَنَحْنُsurely we ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ(are) the victorious۝٤٤ Āyah 44

فَأَلْقَىٰthen threw مُوسَىٰmusa عَصَاهُhis staff فَإِذَاand behold هِىَit تَلْقَفُswallowed مَاwhat يَأْفِكُونَthey falsified۝٤٥ Āyah 45

فَأُلْقِىَthen fell down ٱلسَّحَرَةُthe magicians سَٰجِدِينَprostrate۝٤٦ Āyah 46

قَالُوٓا۟they said ءَامَنَّاwe believe بِرَبِّin (the) lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds۝٤٧ Āyah 47

رَبِّlord مُوسَىٰ(of) musa وَهَٰرُونَand harun۝٤٨ Āyah 48

قَالَhe said ءَامَنتُمْyou believed لَهُۥin him قَبْلَbefore أَنْ[that] ءَاذَنَi gave permission لَكُمْto you إِنَّهُۥindeed he لَكَبِيرُكُمُ(is) surely your chief ٱلَّذِىwho عَلَّمَكُمُhas taught you ٱلسِّحْرَthe magic فَلَسَوْفَso surely soon تَعْلَمُونَyou will know لَأُقَطِّعَنَّi will surely cut off أَيْدِيَكُمْyour hands وَأَرْجُلَكُمand your feet مِّنْof خِلَٰفٍopposite sides وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْand i will surely crucify you أَجْمَعِينَall۝٤٩ Āyah 49

قَالُوا۟they said لَاno ضَيْرَharm إِنَّآindeed we إِلَىٰto رَبِّنَاour lord مُنقَلِبُونَ(will) return۝٥٠ Āyah 50

إِنَّاindeed we نَطْمَعُhope أَنthat يَغْفِرَwill forgive لَنَاus رَبُّنَاour lord خَطَٰيَٰنَآour sins أَنbecause كُنَّآwe are أَوَّلَ(the) first ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ(of) the believers۝٥١ Āyah 51

وَأَوْحَيْنَآand we inspired إِلَىٰto مُوسَىٰٓmusa أَنْ[that] أَسْرِtravel by night بِعِبَادِىٓwith my slaves إِنَّكُمindeed you مُّتَّبَعُونَ(will be) followed۝٥٢ Āyah 52
