لقمان

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

الٓمٓalif lam meem۝١ Āyah 1

تِلْكَthese ءَايَٰتُ(are) verses ٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the book ٱلْحَكِيمِthe wise۝٢ Āyah 2

هُدًىa guidance وَرَحْمَةًand a mercy لِّلْمُحْسِنِينَfor the good doers۝٣ Āyah 3

ٱلَّذِينَthose who يُقِيمُونَestablish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayer وَيُؤْتُونَand give ٱلزَّكَوٰةَzakah وَهُمand they بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِin the hereafter هُمْ[they] يُوقِنُونَbelieve firmly۝٤ Āyah 4

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose عَلَىٰ(are) on هُدًىguidance مِّنfrom رَّبِّهِمْtheir lord وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَand those هُمُ[they] ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ(are) the successful۝٥ Āyah 5

وَمِنَand of ٱلنَّاسِthe mankind مَن(is he) who يَشْتَرِىpurchases لَهْوَidle tales ٱلْحَدِيثِidle tales لِيُضِلَّto mislead عَنfrom سَبِيلِ(the) path ٱللَّهِ(of) allah بِغَيْرِwithout عِلْمٍknowledge وَيَتَّخِذَهَاand takes it هُزُوًا(in) ridicule أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose لَهُمْfor them عَذَابٌ(is) a punishment مُّهِينٌhumiliating۝٦ Āyah 6

وَإِذَاand when تُتْلَىٰare recited عَلَيْهِto him ءَايَٰتُنَاour verses وَلَّىٰhe turns away مُسْتَكْبِرًاarrogantly كَأَنas if لَّمْnot يَسْمَعْهَاhe (had) heard them كَأَنَّas if فِىٓin أُذُنَيْهِhis ears وَقْرًا(is) deafness فَبَشِّرْهُso give him tidings بِعَذَابٍof a punishment أَلِيمٍpainful۝٧ Āyah 7

إِنَّindeed ٱلَّذِينَthose who ءَامَنُوا۟believe وَعَمِلُوا۟and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deeds لَهُمْfor them جَنَّٰتُ(are) gardens ٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) delight۝٨ Āyah 8

خَٰلِدِينَ(to) abide forever فِيهَاin it وَعْدَ(the) promise of allah ٱللَّهِ(the) promise of allah حَقًّا(is) true وَهُوَand he ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُthe all wise۝٩ Āyah 9

خَلَقَhe created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens بِغَيْرِwithout عَمَدٍpillars تَرَوْنَهَاthat you see وَأَلْقَىٰand has cast فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth رَوَٰسِىَfirm mountains أَنlest تَمِيدَit (might) shake بِكُمْwith you وَبَثَّand he dispersed فِيهَاin it مِنfrom كُلِّevery دَآبَّةٍcreature وَأَنزَلْنَاand we sent down مِنَfrom ٱلسَّمَآءِthe sky مَآءًwater فَأَنۢبَتْنَاthen we caused to grow فِيهَاtherein مِنof كُلِّevery زَوْجٍkind كَرِيمٍnoble۝١٠ Āyah 10

هَٰذَاthis خَلْقُ(is the) creation ٱللَّهِ(of) allah فَأَرُونِىso show me مَاذَاwhat خَلَقَhave created ٱلَّذِينَthose مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦbesides him بَلِnay ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoers فِى(are) in ضَلَٰلٍerror مُّبِينٍclear۝١١ Āyah 11
