لقمان

أَلَمْdo not تَرَوْا۟you see أَنَّthat ٱللَّهَallah سَخَّرَhas subjected لَكُمto you مَّاwhatever فِى(is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَمَاand whatever فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth وَأَسْبَغَand amply bestowed عَلَيْكُمْupon you نِعَمَهُۥhis bounties ظَٰهِرَةًapparent وَبَاطِنَةًand hidden وَمِنَbut of ٱلنَّاسِthe people مَن(is he) who يُجَٰدِلُdisputes فِىabout ٱللَّهِallah بِغَيْرِwithout عِلْمٍknowledge وَلَاand not هُدًىguidance وَلَاand not كِتَٰبٍa book مُّنِيرٍenlightening۝٢٠ Āyah 20

وَإِذَاand when قِيلَit is said لَهُمُto them ٱتَّبِعُوا۟follow مَآwhat أَنزَلَallah (has) revealed ٱللَّهُallah (has) revealed قَالُوا۟they say بَلْnay نَتَّبِعُwe will follow مَاwhat وَجَدْنَاwe found عَلَيْهِon it ءَابَآءَنَآour forefathers أَوَلَوْeven if كَانَshaitaan was ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُshaitaan was يَدْعُوهُمْ(to) call them إِلَىٰto عَذَابِ(the) punishment ٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the blaze۝٢١ Āyah 21

وَمَنand whoever يُسْلِمْsubmits وَجْهَهُۥٓhis face إِلَىto ٱللَّهِallah وَهُوَwhile he مُحْسِنٌ(is) a good doer فَقَدِthen indeed ٱسْتَمْسَكَhe has grasped بِٱلْعُرْوَةِthe handhold ٱلْوُثْقَىٰthe most trustworthy وَإِلَىand to ٱللَّهِallah عَٰقِبَةُ(is the) end ٱلْأُمُورِ(of) the matters۝٢٢ Āyah 22

وَمَنand whoever كَفَرَdisbelieves فَلَاlet not يَحْزُنكَgrieve you كُفْرُهُۥٓhis disbelief إِلَيْنَاto us مَرْجِعُهُمْ(is) their return فَنُنَبِّئُهُمthen we will inform them بِمَاof what عَمِلُوٓا۟they did إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah عَلِيمٌۢ(is) the all knower بِذَاتِof what ٱلصُّدُورِ(is in) the breasts۝٢٣ Āyah 23

نُمَتِّعُهُمْwe grant them enjoyment قَلِيلًا(for) a little ثُمَّthen نَضْطَرُّهُمْwe إِلَىٰto عَذَابٍa punishment غَلِيظٍsevere۝٢٤ Āyah 24

وَلَئِنand if سَأَلْتَهُمyou ask them مَّنْwho خَلَقَcreated ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَand the earth لَيَقُولُنَّthey will surely say ٱللَّهُallah قُلِsay ٱلْحَمْدُall praises لِلَّهِ(are) for allah بَلْbut أَكْثَرُهُمْmost of them لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٢٥ Āyah 25

لِلَّهِto allah (belongs) مَاwhatever فِى(is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah هُوَhe ٱلْغَنِىُّ(is) free of need ٱلْحَمِيدُthe praiseworthy۝٢٦ Āyah 26

وَلَوْand if أَنَّمَاwhatever فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth مِنof شَجَرَةٍ(the) trees أَقْلَٰمٌ(were) pens وَٱلْبَحْرُand the sea يَمُدُّهُۥ(to) add to it مِنۢafter it بَعْدِهِۦafter it سَبْعَةُseven أَبْحُرٍseas مَّاnot نَفِدَتْwould be exhausted كَلِمَٰتُ(the) words ٱللَّهِ(of) allah إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah عَزِيزٌ(is) all mighty حَكِيمٌall wise۝٢٧ Āyah 27

مَّاnot خَلْقُكُمْ(is) your creation وَلَاand not بَعْثُكُمْyour resurrection إِلَّاbut كَنَفْسٍas a soul وَٰحِدَةٍsingle إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah سَمِيعٌۢ(is) all hearer بَصِيرٌall seer۝٢٨ Āyah 28

أَلَمْdo not تَرَyou see أَنَّthat ٱللَّهَallah يُولِجُcauses to enter ٱلَّيْلَthe night فِىinto ٱلنَّهَارِthe day وَيُولِجُand causes to enter ٱلنَّهَارَthe day فِىinto ٱلَّيْلِthe night وَسَخَّرَand has subjected ٱلشَّمْسَthe sun وَٱلْقَمَرَand the moon كُلٌّeach يَجْرِىٓmoving إِلَىٰٓfor أَجَلٍa term مُّسَمًّىappointed وَأَنَّand that ٱللَّهَallah بِمَاof what تَعْمَلُونَyou do خَبِيرٌ(is) all aware۝٢٩ Āyah 29

ذَٰلِكَthat بِأَنَّ(is) because ٱللَّهَallah هُوَhe ٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truth وَأَنَّand that مَاwhat يَدْعُونَthey call مِنbesides him دُونِهِbesides him ٱلْبَٰطِلُ(is) [the] falsehood وَأَنَّand that ٱللَّهَallah هُوَhe ٱلْعَلِىُّ(is) the most high ٱلْكَبِيرُthe most great۝٣٠ Āyah 30

أَلَمْdo not تَرَyou see أَنَّthat ٱلْفُلْكَthe ships تَجْرِىsail فِىthrough ٱلْبَحْرِthe sea بِنِعْمَتِby (the) grace ٱللَّهِ(of) allah لِيُرِيَكُمthat he may show you مِّنْof ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓhis signs إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَٰتٍsurely (are) signs لِّكُلِّfor everyone صَبَّارٍ(who is) patient شَكُورٍgrateful۝٣١ Āyah 31

وَإِذَاand when غَشِيَهُمcovers them مَّوْجٌa wave كَٱلظُّلَلِlike canopies دَعَوُا۟they call ٱللَّهَallah مُخْلِصِينَ(being) sincere لَهُto him ٱلدِّينَ(in) religion فَلَمَّاbut when نَجَّىٰهُمْhe delivers them إِلَىto ٱلْبَرِّthe land فَمِنْهُمthen among them مُّقْتَصِدٌ(some are) moderate وَمَاand not يَجْحَدُdeny بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآour signs إِلَّاexcept كُلُّevery خَتَّارٍtraitor كَفُورٍungrateful۝٣٢ Āyah 32

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo ٱلنَّاسُmankind ٱتَّقُوا۟fear رَبَّكُمْyour lord وَٱخْشَوْا۟and fear يَوْمًاa day لَّاnot يَجْزِىcan avail وَالِدٌa father عَن[for] وَلَدِهِۦhis son وَلَاand not مَوْلُودٌa son هُوَhe جَازٍ(can) avail عَن[for] وَالِدِهِۦhis father شَيْـًٔاanything إِنَّindeed وَعْدَ(the) promise ٱللَّهِ(of) allah حَقٌّ(is) true فَلَاso let not deceive you تَغُرَّنَّكُمُso let not deceive you ٱلْحَيَوٰةُthe life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world وَلَاand let not deceive you يَغُرَّنَّكُمand let not deceive you بِٱللَّهِabout allah ٱلْغَرُورُthe deceiver۝٣٣ Āyah 33

إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah عِندَهُۥwith him عِلْمُ(is the) knowledge ٱلسَّاعَةِ(of) the hour وَيُنَزِّلُand he sends down ٱلْغَيْثَthe rain وَيَعْلَمُand knows مَاwhat فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْحَامِthe wombs وَمَاand not تَدْرِىknows نَفْسٌany soul مَّاذَاwhat تَكْسِبُit will earn غَدًاtomorrow وَمَاand not تَدْرِىknows نَفْسٌۢany soul بِأَىِّin what أَرْضٍland تَمُوتُit will die إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah عَلِيمٌ(is) all knower خَبِيرٌۢall aware۝٣٤ Āyah 34
