يس

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

يسٓya seen۝١ Āyah 1

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِby the quran ٱلْحَكِيمِthe wise۝٢ Āyah 2

إِنَّكَindeed you لَمِنَ(are) among ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَthe messengers۝٣ Āyah 3

عَلَىٰon صِرَٰطٍa path مُّسْتَقِيمٍstraight۝٤ Āyah 4

تَنزِيلَa revelation ٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) the all mighty ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful۝٥ Āyah 5

لِتُنذِرَthat you may warn قَوْمًاa people مَّآnot أُنذِرَwere warned ءَابَآؤُهُمْtheir forefathers فَهُمْso they غَٰفِلُونَ(are) heedless۝٦ Āyah 6

لَقَدْcertainly حَقَّ(has) proved true ٱلْقَوْلُthe word عَلَىٰٓupon أَكْثَرِهِمْmost of them فَهُمْso they لَا(do) not يُؤْمِنُونَbelieve۝٧ Āyah 7

إِنَّاindeed we جَعَلْنَا[we] have placed فِىٓon أَعْنَٰقِهِمْtheir necks أَغْلَٰلًاiron collars فَهِىَand they إِلَى(are up) to ٱلْأَذْقَانِthe chins فَهُمso they مُّقْمَحُونَ(are with) heads raised up۝٨ Āyah 8

وَجَعَلْنَاand we have made مِنۢbefore them بَيْنِbefore them أَيْدِيهِمْbefore them سَدًّاa barrier وَمِنْand behind them خَلْفِهِمْand behind them سَدًّاa barrier فَأَغْشَيْنَٰهُمْand we covered them فَهُمْso they لَا(do) not يُبْصِرُونَsee۝٩ Āyah 9

وَسَوَآءٌand it (is) same عَلَيْهِمْto them ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْwhether you warn them أَمْor لَمْ(do) not تُنذِرْهُمْwarn them لَاnot يُؤْمِنُونَthey will believe۝١٠ Āyah 10

إِنَّمَاonly تُنذِرُyou (can) warn مَنِ(him) who ٱتَّبَعَfollows ٱلذِّكْرَthe reminder وَخَشِىَand fears ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَthe most gracious بِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseen فَبَشِّرْهُso give him glad tidings بِمَغْفِرَةٍof forgiveness وَأَجْرٍand a reward كَرِيمٍnoble۝١١ Āyah 11

إِنَّاindeed we نَحْنُ[we] نُحْىِ[we]give life ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ(to) the dead وَنَكْتُبُand we record مَاwhat قَدَّمُوا۟they have sent before وَءَاثَٰرَهُمْand their footprints وَكُلَّand every شَىْءٍthing أَحْصَيْنَٰهُwe have enumerated it فِىٓin إِمَامٍa register مُّبِينٍclear۝١٢ Āyah 12
