النساء

وَٱلَّٰتِىand those who يَأْتِينَcommit ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ[the] immorality مِنfrom نِّسَآئِكُمْyour women فَٱسْتَشْهِدُوا۟then call to witness عَلَيْهِنَّagainst them أَرْبَعَةًfour مِّنكُمْamong you فَإِنand if شَهِدُوا۟they testify فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّthen confine them فِىin ٱلْبُيُوتِtheir houses حَتَّىٰuntil يَتَوَفَّىٰهُنَّcomes to them ٱلْمَوْتُ[the] death أَوْor يَجْعَلَallah makes ٱللَّهُallah makes لَهُنَّfor them سَبِيلًاa way۝١٥ Āyah 15

وَٱلَّذَانِand the two who يَأْتِيَٰنِهَاcommit it مِنكُمْamong you فَـَٔاذُوهُمَاthen punish both of them فَإِنbut if تَابَاthey repent وَأَصْلَحَاand correct themselves فَأَعْرِضُوا۟then turn away عَنْهُمَآfrom both of them إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah كَانَis تَوَّابًاoft forgiving رَّحِيمًاmost merciful۝١٦ Āyah 16

إِنَّمَاonly ٱلتَّوْبَةُthe acceptance of repentance عَلَىby ٱللَّهِallah لِلَّذِينَ(is) for those who يَعْمَلُونَdo ٱلسُّوٓءَthe evil بِجَهَٰلَةٍin ignorance ثُمَّthen يَتُوبُونَthey repent مِنsoon after قَرِيبٍsoon after فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen those يَتُوبُwill have forgiveness ٱللَّهُ(from) allah عَلَيْهِمْupon them وَكَانَand allah is ٱللَّهُand allah is عَلِيمًاall knowing حَكِيمًاall wise۝١٧ Āyah 17

وَلَيْسَتِand not ٱلتَّوْبَةُ(is) the acceptance of repentance لِلَّذِينَfor those who يَعْمَلُونَdo ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِthe evil deeds حَتَّىٰٓuntil إِذَاwhen حَضَرَapproaches أَحَدَهُمُone of them ٱلْمَوْتُ[the] death قَالَhe says إِنِّىindeed i تُبْتُrepent ٱلْـَٰٔنَnow; وَلَاand not ٱلَّذِينَthose who يَمُوتُونَdie وَهُمْwhile they كُفَّارٌ(are) disbelievers أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose أَعْتَدْنَاwe have prepared لَهُمْfor them عَذَابًاa punishment أَلِيمًاpainful۝١٨ Āyah 18

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you ٱلَّذِينَwho ءَامَنُوا۟believe[d] لَاnot يَحِلُّ(is) lawful لَكُمْfor you أَنthat تَرِثُوا۟you inherit ٱلنِّسَآءَthe women كَرْهًا(by) force وَلَاand not تَعْضُلُوهُنَّyou constraint them لِتَذْهَبُوا۟so that you may take بِبَعْضِa part مَآ(of) what ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّyou have given them إِلَّآexcept أَنthat يَأْتِينَthey commit بِفَٰحِشَةٍimmorality مُّبَيِّنَةٍopen وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّand live with them بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِin kindness فَإِنbut if كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّyou dislike them فَعَسَىٰٓthen perhaps أَنthat تَكْرَهُوا۟you dislike شَيْـًٔاa thing وَيَجْعَلَand allah placed ٱللَّهُand allah placed فِيهِin it خَيْرًاmuch good كَثِيرًاmuch good۝١٩ Āyah 19

وَإِنْand if أَرَدتُّمُyou intend ٱسْتِبْدَالَreplacing زَوْجٍa wife مَّكَانَ(in) place زَوْجٍ(of) a wife وَءَاتَيْتُمْand you have given إِحْدَىٰهُنَّone of them قِنطَارًاheap (of gold) فَلَاthen (do) not تَأْخُذُوا۟take away مِنْهُfrom it شَيْـًٔاanything أَتَأْخُذُونَهُۥwould you take it بُهْتَٰنًا(by) slander وَإِثْمًاand a sin مُّبِينًاopen۝٢٠ Āyah 20

وَكَيْفَand how تَأْخُذُونَهُۥcould you take it وَقَدْwhen surely أَفْضَىٰhas gone بَعْضُكُمْone of you إِلَىٰto بَعْضٍanother وَأَخَذْنَand they have taken مِنكُمfrom you مِّيثَٰقًاcovenant غَلِيظًاstrong۝٢١ Āyah 21

وَلَاand (do) not تَنكِحُوا۟marry مَاwhom نَكَحَmarried ءَابَآؤُكُمyour fathers مِّنَof ٱلنِّسَآءِthe women إِلَّاexcept مَاwhat قَدْhas passed before سَلَفَhas passed before إِنَّهُۥindeed it كَانَwas فَٰحِشَةًan immorality وَمَقْتًاand hateful وَسَآءَand (an) evil سَبِيلًاway۝٢٢ Āyah 22
