فصلت

قُلْsay أَئِنَّكُمْdo you indeed لَتَكْفُرُونَ[surely] disbelieve بِٱلَّذِىin the one who خَلَقَcreated ٱلْأَرْضَthe earth فِىin يَوْمَيْنِtwo periods وَتَجْعَلُونَand you set up لَهُۥٓwith him أَندَادًاrivals ذَٰلِكَthat رَبُّ(is the) lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds۝٩ Āyah 9

وَجَعَلَand he placed فِيهَاtherein رَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountains مِنabove it فَوْقِهَاabove it وَبَٰرَكَand he blessed فِيهَاtherein وَقَدَّرَand determined فِيهَآtherein أَقْوَٰتَهَاits sustenance فِىٓin أَرْبَعَةِfour أَيَّامٍperiods سَوَآءًequal لِّلسَّآئِلِينَfor those who ask۝١٠ Āyah 10

ثُمَّthen ٱسْتَوَىٰٓhe directed (himself) إِلَىtowards ٱلسَّمَآءِthe heaven وَهِىَwhile it (was) دُخَانٌsmoke فَقَالَand he said لَهَاto it وَلِلْأَرْضِand to the earth ٱئْتِيَاcome both of you طَوْعًاwillingly أَوْor كَرْهًاunwillingly قَالَتَآthey both said أَتَيْنَاwe come طَآئِعِينَwillingly۝١١ Āyah 11

فَقَضَىٰهُنَّthen he completed them سَبْعَ(as) seven سَمَٰوَاتٍheavens فِىin يَوْمَيْنِtwo periods وَأَوْحَىٰand he revealed فِىin كُلِّeach سَمَآءٍheaven أَمْرَهَاits affair وَزَيَّنَّاand we adorned ٱلسَّمَآءَthe heaven ٱلدُّنْيَا[the world] بِمَصَٰبِيحَwith lamps وَحِفْظًاand (to) guard ذَٰلِكَthat تَقْدِيرُ(is the) decree ٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) the all mighty ٱلْعَلِيمِthe all knower۝١٢ Āyah 12

فَإِنْbut if أَعْرَضُوا۟they turn away فَقُلْthen say أَنذَرْتُكُمْi have warned you صَٰعِقَةً(of) a thunderbolt مِّثْلَlike صَٰعِقَةِ(the) thunderbolt عَادٍ(of) aad وَثَمُودَand thamud۝١٣ Āyah 13

إِذْwhen جَآءَتْهُمُcame to them ٱلرُّسُلُthe messengers مِنۢfrom before them بَيْنِfrom before them أَيْدِيهِمْfrom before them وَمِنْand from خَلْفِهِمْbehind them أَلَّا(saying) do not تَعْبُدُوٓا۟worship إِلَّاexcept ٱللَّهَallah قَالُوا۟they said لَوْif شَآءَ(had) willed رَبُّنَاour lord لَأَنزَلَsurely he (would have) sent down مَلَٰٓئِكَةًangels فَإِنَّاso indeed we بِمَآin what أُرْسِلْتُمyou have been sent بِهِۦwith كَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers۝١٤ Āyah 14

فَأَمَّاthen as for عَادٌaad فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟they were arrogant فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe land بِغَيْرِwithout ٱلْحَقِّ[the] right وَقَالُوا۟and they said مَنْwho أَشَدُّ(is) mightier مِنَّاthan us قُوَّةً(in) strength أَوَلَمْdo not يَرَوْا۟they see أَنَّthat ٱللَّهَallah ٱلَّذِىthe one who خَلَقَهُمْcreated them هُوَhe أَشَدُّ(is) mightier مِنْهُمْthan them قُوَّةً(in) strength وَكَانُوا۟but they used to بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاin our signs يَجْحَدُونَdeny۝١٥ Āyah 15

فَأَرْسَلْنَاso we sent عَلَيْهِمْupon them رِيحًاa wind صَرْصَرًاfurious فِىٓin أَيَّامٍ(the) days نَّحِسَاتٍ(of) misfortune لِّنُذِيقَهُمْthat we may make them عَذَابَ(the) punishment ٱلْخِزْىِ(of) disgrace فِىin ٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world وَلَعَذَابُand surely (the) punishment ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ(of) the hereafter أَخْزَىٰ(is) more disgracing وَهُمْand they لَاwill not be helped يُنصَرُونَwill not be helped۝١٦ Āyah 16

وَأَمَّاand as for ثَمُودُthamud فَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْwe guided them فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟but they preferred ٱلْعَمَىٰ[the] blindness عَلَىover ٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidance فَأَخَذَتْهُمْso seized them صَٰعِقَةُa thunderbolt ٱلْعَذَابِ(of) the punishment ٱلْهُونِhumiliating بِمَاfor what كَانُوا۟they used to يَكْسِبُونَearn۝١٧ Āyah 17

وَنَجَّيْنَاand we saved ٱلَّذِينَthose who ءَامَنُوا۟believed وَكَانُوا۟and used to يَتَّقُونَfear (allah)۝١٨ Āyah 18
