الجاثية

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

حمٓha meem۝١ Āyah 1

تَنزِيلُ(the) revelation ٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the book مِنَ(is) from ٱللَّهِallah ٱلْعَزِيزِthe all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمِthe all wise۝٢ Āyah 2

إِنَّindeed فِىin ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth لَـَٔايَٰتٍsurely (are) signs لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believers۝٣ Āyah 3

وَفِىand in خَلْقِكُمْyour creation وَمَاand what يَبُثُّhe disperses مِنof دَآبَّةٍ(the) moving creatures ءَايَٰتٌ(are) signs لِّقَوْمٍfor a people يُوقِنُونَwho are certain۝٤ Āyah 4

وَٱخْتِلَٰفِand (in the) alternation ٱلَّيْلِ(of) the night وَٱلنَّهَارِand the day وَمَآand what أَنزَلَallah sends down ٱللَّهُallah sends down مِنَfrom ٱلسَّمَآءِthe sky مِنof رِّزْقٍ(the) provision فَأَحْيَاand gives life بِهِthereby ٱلْأَرْضَ(to) the earth بَعْدَafter مَوْتِهَاits death وَتَصْرِيفِand (in) directing ٱلرِّيَٰحِ(the) winds ءَايَٰتٌ(are) signs لِّقَوْمٍfor a people يَعْقِلُونَwho reason۝٥ Āyah 5

تِلْكَthese ءَايَٰتُ(are the) verses ٱللَّهِ(of) allah نَتْلُوهَاwe recite them عَلَيْكَto you بِٱلْحَقِّin truth فَبِأَىِّthen in what حَدِيثٍۭstatement بَعْدَafter ٱللَّهِallah وَءَايَٰتِهِۦand his verses يُؤْمِنُونَwill they believe۝٦ Āyah 6

وَيْلٌwoe لِّكُلِّto every أَفَّاكٍliar أَثِيمٍsinful۝٧ Āyah 7

يَسْمَعُwho hears ءَايَٰتِ(the) verses ٱللَّهِ(of) allah تُتْلَىٰrecited عَلَيْهِto him ثُمَّthen يُصِرُّpersists مُسْتَكْبِرًاarrogantly كَأَنas if لَّمْnot يَسْمَعْهَاhe heard them فَبَشِّرْهُso give him tidings بِعَذَابٍ(of) a punishment أَلِيمٍpainful۝٨ Āyah 8

وَإِذَاand when عَلِمَhe knows مِنْof ءَايَٰتِنَاour verses شَيْـًٔاanything ٱتَّخَذَهَاhe takes them هُزُوًا(in) ridicule أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose لَهُمْfor them عَذَابٌ(is) a punishment مُّهِينٌhumiliating۝٩ Āyah 9

مِّنbefore them وَرَآئِهِمْbefore them جَهَنَّمُ(is) hell وَلَاand not يُغْنِىwill avail عَنْهُمthem مَّاwhat كَسَبُوا۟they had earned شَيْـًٔاanything وَلَاand not مَاwhat ٱتَّخَذُوا۟they had taken مِنbesides دُونِbesides ٱللَّهِallah أَوْلِيَآءَ(as) protectors وَلَهُمْand for them عَذَابٌ(is) a punishment عَظِيمٌgreat۝١٠ Āyah 10

هَٰذَاthis هُدًى(is) guidance وَٱلَّذِينَand those who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieve بِـَٔايَٰتِin (the) verses رَبِّهِمْ(of) their lord لَهُمْfor them عَذَابٌ(is) a punishment مِّنof رِّجْزٍfilth أَلِيمٌpainful۝١١ Āyah 11
