الحجرات

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you who believe ٱلَّذِينَo you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟o you who believe لَا(do) not تُقَدِّمُوا۟put (yourselves) forward بَيْنَbefore allah يَدَىِbefore allah ٱللَّهِbefore allah وَرَسُولِهِۦand his messenger وَٱتَّقُوا۟and fear allah ٱللَّهَand fear allah إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah سَمِيعٌ(is) all hearer عَلِيمٌall knower۝١ Āyah 1

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you who believe ٱلَّذِينَo you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟o you who believe لَا(do) not تَرْفَعُوٓا۟raise أَصْوَٰتَكُمْyour voices فَوْقَabove صَوْتِ(the) voice ٱلنَّبِىِّ(of) the prophet وَلَاand (do) not تَجْهَرُوا۟be loud لَهُۥto him بِٱلْقَوْلِin speech كَجَهْرِlike (the) loudness بَعْضِكُمْ(of) some of you لِبَعْضٍto others أَنlest تَحْبَطَbecome worthless أَعْمَٰلُكُمْyour deeds وَأَنتُمْwhile you لَا(do) not تَشْعُرُونَperceive۝٢ Āyah 2

إِنَّindeed ٱلَّذِينَthose who يَغُضُّونَlower أَصْوَٰتَهُمْtheir voices عِندَ(in) presence رَسُولِ(of the) messenger of allah ٱللَّهِ(of the) messenger of allah أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose ٱلَّذِينَ(are) the ones ٱمْتَحَنَallah has tested ٱللَّهُallah has tested قُلُوبَهُمْtheir hearts لِلتَّقْوَىٰfor righteousness لَهُمfor them مَّغْفِرَةٌ(is) forgiveness وَأَجْرٌand a reward عَظِيمٌgreat۝٣ Āyah 3

إِنَّindeed ٱلَّذِينَthose who يُنَادُونَكَcall you مِنfrom وَرَآءِbehind ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِthe private chambers أَكْثَرُهُمْmost of them لَا(do) not يَعْقِلُونَunderstand۝٤ Āyah 4

وَلَوْand if أَنَّهُمْthey صَبَرُوا۟had been patient حَتَّىٰuntil تَخْرُجَyou came out إِلَيْهِمْto them لَكَانَcertainly it would be خَيْرًاbetter لَّهُمْfor them وَٱللَّهُand allah غَفُورٌ(is) oft forgiving رَّحِيمٌmost merciful۝٥ Āyah 5

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you who believe ٱلَّذِينَo you who believe ءَامَنُوٓا۟o you who believe إِنif جَآءَكُمْcomes to you فَاسِقٌۢa wicked person بِنَبَإٍwith information فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟investigate أَنlest تُصِيبُوا۟you harm قَوْمًۢاa people بِجَهَٰلَةٍin ignorance فَتُصْبِحُوا۟then you become عَلَىٰover مَاwhat فَعَلْتُمْyou have done نَٰدِمِينَregretful۝٦ Āyah 6

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟and know أَنَّthat فِيكُمْamong you رَسُولَ(is the) messenger of allah ٱللَّهِ(is the) messenger of allah لَوْif يُطِيعُكُمْhe were to obey you فِىin كَثِيرٍmuch مِّنَof ٱلْأَمْرِthe matter لَعَنِتُّمْsurely you would be in difficulty وَلَٰكِنَّbut ٱللَّهَallah حَبَّبَhas endeared إِلَيْكُمُto you ٱلْإِيمَٰنَthe faith وَزَيَّنَهُۥand has made it pleasing فِىin قُلُوبِكُمْyour hearts وَكَرَّهَand has made hateful إِلَيْكُمُto you ٱلْكُفْرَdisbelief وَٱلْفُسُوقَand defiance وَٱلْعِصْيَانَand disobedience أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose هُمُ(are) they ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَthe guided ones۝٧ Āyah 7

فَضْلًاa bounty مِّنَfrom allah ٱللَّهِfrom allah وَنِعْمَةًand favor وَٱللَّهُand allah عَلِيمٌ(is) all knower حَكِيمٌall wise۝٨ Āyah 8

وَإِنand if طَآئِفَتَانِtwo parties مِنَamong ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟fight فَأَصْلِحُوا۟then make peace بَيْنَهُمَاbetween both of them فَإِنۢbut if بَغَتْoppresses إِحْدَىٰهُمَاone of them عَلَىon ٱلْأُخْرَىٰthe other فَقَٰتِلُوا۟then fight ٱلَّتِىone which تَبْغِىoppresses حَتَّىٰuntil تَفِىٓءَit returns إِلَىٰٓto أَمْرِ(the) command ٱللَّهِ(of) allah فَإِنthen if فَآءَتْit returns فَأَصْلِحُوا۟then make peace بَيْنَهُمَاbetween them بِٱلْعَدْلِwith justice وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟and act justly إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah يُحِبُّloves ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَthose who act justly۝٩ Āyah 9

إِنَّمَاonly ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believers إِخْوَةٌ(are) brothers فَأَصْلِحُوا۟so make peace بَيْنَbetween أَخَوَيْكُمْyour brothers وَٱتَّقُوا۟and fear allah ٱللَّهَand fear allah لَعَلَّكُمْso that you may تُرْحَمُونَreceive mercy۝١٠ Āyah 10
