المائدة

وَإِذْand when قَالَmusa said مُوسَىٰmusa said لِقَوْمِهِۦto his people يَٰقَوْمِo my people ٱذْكُرُوا۟remember نِعْمَةَ(the) favor of allah ٱللَّهِ(the) favor of allah عَلَيْكُمْupon you إِذْwhen جَعَلَhe placed فِيكُمْamong you أَنۢبِيَآءَprophets وَجَعَلَكُمand made you مُّلُوكًاkings وَءَاتَىٰكُمand he gave you مَّاwhat لَمْhe (had) not given يُؤْتِhe (had) not given أَحَدًا(to) anyone مِّنَfrom ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَthe worlds۝٢٠ Āyah 20

يَٰقَوْمِo my people ٱدْخُلُوا۟enter ٱلْأَرْضَthe holy land ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَthe holy land ٱلَّتِىwhich كَتَبَallah has ordained ٱللَّهُallah has ordained لَكُمْfor you وَلَاand (do) not تَرْتَدُّوا۟turn عَلَىٰٓon أَدْبَارِكُمْyour backs فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟then you will turn back خَٰسِرِينَ(as) losers۝٢١ Āyah 21

قَالُوا۟they said يَٰمُوسَىٰٓo musa إِنَّindeed فِيهَاin it قَوْمًا(are) people جَبَّارِينَ(of) tyrannical strength وَإِنَّاand indeed we لَنnever نَّدْخُلَهَاwill enter it حَتَّىٰuntil يَخْرُجُوا۟they leave مِنْهَاfrom it فَإِنand if يَخْرُجُوا۟they leave مِنْهَا[from] it فَإِنَّاthen certainly we (will) دَٰخِلُونَenter (it)۝٢٢ Āyah 22

قَالَsaid رَجُلَانِtwo men مِنَfrom ٱلَّذِينَthose who يَخَافُونَfeared (allah) أَنْعَمَallah had favored ٱللَّهُallah had favored عَلَيْهِمَا[on] both of them ٱدْخُلُوا۟enter عَلَيْهِمُupon them ٱلْبَابَ(through) the gate فَإِذَاthen when دَخَلْتُمُوهُyou have entered it فَإِنَّكُمْthen indeed you (will be) غَٰلِبُونَvictorious وَعَلَىand upon ٱللَّهِallah فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟then put your trust إِنif كُنتُمyou are مُّؤْمِنِينَbelievers۝٢٣ Āyah 23

قَالُوا۟they said يَٰمُوسَىٰٓo musa إِنَّاindeed we لَنnever نَّدْخُلَهَآwill enter it أَبَدًاever مَّا دَامُوا۟as long as they are فِيهَاas long as they are فَٱذْهَبْin it أَنتَso go وَرَبُّكَyou فَقَٰتِلَآand your lord إِنَّاand you both fight هَٰهُنَاindeed we قَٰعِدُونَare [here]۝٢٤ Āyah 24

قَالَhe said رَبِّo my lord إِنِّىindeed i لَآ(do) not أَمْلِكُ(have) power إِلَّاexcept نَفْسِى(over) myself وَأَخِىand my brother فَٱفْرُقْso (make a) separation بَيْنَنَاbetween us وَبَيْنَand between ٱلْقَوْمِthe defiantly disobedient people ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَthe defiantly disobedient people۝٢٥ Āyah 25

قَالَ(allah) said فَإِنَّهَاthen indeed it مُحَرَّمَةٌ(will be) forbidden عَلَيْهِمْto them أَرْبَعِينَ(for) forty سَنَةًyears يَتِيهُونَthey will wander فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth فَلَاso (do) not تَأْسَgrieve عَلَىover ٱلْقَوْمِthe defiantly disobedient people ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَthe defiantly disobedient people۝٢٦ Āyah 26
