ق

وَلَقَدْand certainly خَلَقْنَاwe created ٱلْإِنسَٰنَman وَنَعْلَمُand we know مَاwhat تُوَسْوِسُwhispers بِهِۦto him نَفْسُهُۥhis soul وَنَحْنُand we أَقْرَبُ(are) nearer إِلَيْهِto him مِنْthan حَبْلِ(his) jugular vein ٱلْوَرِيدِ(his) jugular vein۝١٦ Āyah 16

إِذْwhen يَتَلَقَّىreceive ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِthe two receivers عَنِon ٱلْيَمِينِthe right وَعَنِand on ٱلشِّمَالِthe left قَعِيدٌseated۝١٧ Āyah 17

مَّاnot يَلْفِظُhe utters مِنany قَوْلٍword إِلَّاbut لَدَيْهِwith him رَقِيبٌ(is) an observer عَتِيدٌready۝١٨ Āyah 18

وَجَآءَتْand will come سَكْرَةُ(the) stupor ٱلْمَوْتِ(of) death بِٱلْحَقِّin truth ذَٰلِكَthat مَا(is) what كُنتَyou were مِنْهُ[from it] تَحِيدُavoiding۝١٩ Āyah 19

وَنُفِخَand will be blown فِى[in] ٱلصُّورِthe trumpet ذَٰلِكَthat يَوْمُ(is the) day ٱلْوَعِيدِ(of) the warning۝٢٠ Āyah 20

وَجَآءَتْand will come كُلُّevery نَفْسٍsoul مَّعَهَاwith it سَآئِقٌa driver وَشَهِيدٌand a witness۝٢١ Āyah 21

لَّقَدْcertainly كُنتَyou were فِىin غَفْلَةٍheedlessness مِّنْof هَٰذَاthis فَكَشَفْنَاso we have removed عَنكَfrom you غِطَآءَكَyour cover فَبَصَرُكَso your sight ٱلْيَوْمَtoday حَدِيدٌ(is) sharp۝٢٢ Āyah 22

وَقَالَand (will) say قَرِينُهُۥhis companion هَٰذَاthis مَا(is) what لَدَىَّ(is) with me عَتِيدٌready۝٢٣ Āyah 23

أَلْقِيَاthrow فِىin (to) جَهَنَّمَhell كُلَّevery كَفَّارٍdisbeliever عَنِيدٍstubborn۝٢٤ Āyah 24

مَّنَّاعٍforbidder لِّلْخَيْرِof good مُعْتَدٍtransgressor مُّرِيبٍdoubter۝٢٥ Āyah 25

ٱلَّذِىwho جَعَلَmade مَعَwith ٱللَّهِallah إِلَٰهًاa god ءَاخَرَanother; فَأَلْقِيَاهُso throw فِىin(to) ٱلْعَذَابِthe punishment ٱلشَّدِيدِthe severe۝٢٦ Āyah 26

قَالَwill say قَرِينُهُۥhis companion رَبَّنَاour lord مَآnot أَطْغَيْتُهُۥi made him transgress وَلَٰكِنbut كَانَhe was فِىin ضَلَٰلٍۭerror بَعِيدٍfar۝٢٧ Āyah 27

قَالَhe will say لَا(do) not تَخْتَصِمُوا۟dispute لَدَىَّ(in) my presence وَقَدْand indeed قَدَّمْتُi sent forth إِلَيْكُمto you بِٱلْوَعِيدِthe warning۝٢٨ Āyah 28

مَاnot يُبَدَّلُwill be changed ٱلْقَوْلُthe word لَدَىَّwith me وَمَآand not أَنَا۠i am بِظَلَّٰمٍunjust لِّلْعَبِيدِto my slaves۝٢٩ Āyah 29
