الحشر

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

سَبَّحَglorifies لِلَّهِ[to] allah مَاwhatever فِى(is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavens وَمَاand whatever فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth وَهُوَand he ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the all mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُthe all wise۝١ Āyah 1

هُوَhe ٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the one who أَخْرَجَexpelled ٱلَّذِينَthose who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieved مِنْfrom أَهْلِ(the) people ٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the scripture مِنfrom دِيَٰرِهِمْtheir homes لِأَوَّلِat (the) first ٱلْحَشْرِgathering مَاnot ظَنَنتُمْyou think أَنthat يَخْرُجُوا۟they would leave وَظَنُّوٓا۟and they thought أَنَّهُمthat [they] مَّانِعَتُهُمْwould defend them حُصُونُهُمtheir fortresses مِّنَagainst ٱللَّهِallah فَأَتَىٰهُمُbut allah came to them ٱللَّهُbut allah came to them مِنْfrom حَيْثُwhere لَمْnot يَحْتَسِبُوا۟they expected وَقَذَفَand he cast فِىinto قُلُوبِهِمُtheir hearts ٱلرُّعْبَ[the] terror يُخْرِبُونَthey destroyed بُيُوتَهُمtheir houses بِأَيْدِيهِمْwith their hands وَأَيْدِىand the hands ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ(of) the believers فَٱعْتَبِرُوا۟so take a lesson يَٰٓأُو۟لِىo those endowed with ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِo those endowed with۝٢ Āyah 2

وَلَوْلَآand if not أَن[that] كَتَبَallah (had) decreed ٱللَّهُallah (had) decreed عَلَيْهِمُfor them ٱلْجَلَآءَthe exile لَعَذَّبَهُمْcertainly he (would) have punished them فِىin ٱلدُّنْيَاthe world وَلَهُمْand for them فِىin ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِthe hereafter عَذَابُ(is) a punishment ٱلنَّارِ(of) the fire۝٣ Āyah 3

ذَٰلِكَthat بِأَنَّهُمْ(is) because [they] شَآقُّوا۟they opposed ٱللَّهَallah وَرَسُولَهُۥand his messenger وَمَنand whoever يُشَآقِّopposes ٱللَّهَallah فَإِنَّthen indeed ٱللَّهَallah شَدِيدُ(is) severe ٱلْعِقَابِ(in) penalty۝٤ Āyah 4

مَاwhatever قَطَعْتُمyou cut down مِّنof لِّينَةٍ(the) palm trees أَوْor تَرَكْتُمُوهَاyou left them قَآئِمَةًstanding عَلَىٰٓon أُصُولِهَاtheir roots فَبِإِذْنِit (was) by the permission ٱللَّهِ(of) allah وَلِيُخْزِىَand that he may disgrace ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَthe defiantly disobedient۝٥ Āyah 5

وَمَآand what أَفَآءَallah restored ٱللَّهُallah restored عَلَىٰto رَسُولِهِۦhis messenger مِنْهُمْfrom them فَمَآthen not أَوْجَفْتُمْyou made expedition عَلَيْهِfor it مِنْof خَيْلٍhorses وَلَاand not رِكَابٍcamels وَلَٰكِنَّbut ٱللَّهَallah يُسَلِّطُgives power رُسُلَهُۥ(to) his messengers عَلَىٰover مَنwhom يَشَآءُhe wills وَٱللَّهُand allah عَلَىٰ(is) on كُلِّevery شَىْءٍthing قَدِيرٌall powerful۝٦ Āyah 6

مَّآwhat أَفَآءَallah restored ٱللَّهُallah restored عَلَىٰto رَسُولِهِۦhis messenger مِنْfrom أَهْلِ(the) people ٱلْقُرَىٰ(of) the towns فَلِلَّهِ(it is) for allah وَلِلرَّسُولِand his messenger وَلِذِىand for the kindred ٱلْقُرْبَىٰand for the kindred وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰand the orphans وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِand the needy وَٱبْنِand the wayfarer ٱلسَّبِيلِand the wayfarer كَىْthat لَاnot يَكُونَit becomes دُولَةًۢa (perpetual) circulation بَيْنَbetween ٱلْأَغْنِيَآءِthe rich مِنكُمْamong you وَمَآand whatever ءَاتَىٰكُمُgives you ٱلرَّسُولُthe messenger فَخُذُوهُtake it وَمَاand whatever نَهَىٰكُمْhe forbids you عَنْهُfrom it فَٱنتَهُوا۟refrain وَٱتَّقُوا۟and fear ٱللَّهَallah إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah شَدِيدُ(is) severe ٱلْعِقَابِ(in) penalty۝٧ Āyah 7

لِلْفُقَرَآءِfor the poor ٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَemigrants ٱلَّذِينَthose who أُخْرِجُوا۟were expelled مِنfrom دِيَٰرِهِمْtheir homes وَأَمْوَٰلِهِمْand their properties يَبْتَغُونَseeking فَضْلًاbounty مِّنَfrom allah ٱللَّهِfrom allah وَرِضْوَٰنًاand pleasure وَيَنصُرُونَand helping ٱللَّهَallah وَرَسُولَهُۥٓand his messenger أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose هُمُthey ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ(are) the truthful۝٨ Āyah 8

وَٱلَّذِينَand those who تَبَوَّءُوsettled ٱلدَّارَ(in) the home وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَand (accepted) faith مِنbefore them قَبْلِهِمْbefore them يُحِبُّونَlove مَنْ(those) who هَاجَرَemigrated إِلَيْهِمْto them وَلَاand not يَجِدُونَthey find فِىin صُدُورِهِمْtheir breasts حَاجَةًany want مِّمَّآof what أُوتُوا۟they were given وَيُؤْثِرُونَbut prefer عَلَىٰٓover أَنفُسِهِمْthemselves وَلَوْeven though كَانَwas بِهِمْwith them خَصَاصَةٌpoverty وَمَنand whoever يُوقَis saved شُحَّ(from) stinginess نَفْسِهِۦ(of) his soul فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen those هُمُ[they] ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ(are) the successful ones۝٩ Āyah 9

وَٱلَّذِينَand those who جَآءُوcame مِنۢafter them بَعْدِهِمْafter them يَقُولُونَthey say رَبَّنَاour lord ٱغْفِرْforgive لَنَاus وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَاand our brothers ٱلَّذِينَwho سَبَقُونَاpreceded us بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِin faith وَلَاand (do) not تَجْعَلْput فِىin قُلُوبِنَاour hearts غِلًّاany rancor لِّلَّذِينَtowards those who ءَامَنُوا۟believed رَبَّنَآour lord إِنَّكَindeed you رَءُوفٌ(are) full of kindness رَّحِيمٌmost merciful۝١٠ Āyah 10
