الأعراف

بِسْمِin (the) name ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe most gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِthe most merciful

الٓمٓصٓalif laam meem saad۝١ Āyah 1

كِتَٰبٌa book أُنزِلَrevealed إِلَيْكَto you فَلَاso (let) not يَكُنbe فِىin صَدْرِكَyour breast حَرَجٌany uneasiness مِّنْهُfrom it لِتُنذِرَthat you warn بِهِۦwith it وَذِكْرَىٰand a reminder لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believers۝٢ Āyah 2

ٱتَّبِعُوا۟follow مَآwhat أُنزِلَhas been revealed إِلَيْكُمto you مِّنfrom رَّبِّكُمْyour lord وَلَاand (do) not تَتَّبِعُوا۟follow مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦٓbesides him أَوْلِيَآءَany allies قَلِيلًاlittle مَّا(is) what تَذَكَّرُونَyou remember۝٣ Āyah 3

وَكَمand how many مِّنof قَرْيَةٍa city أَهْلَكْنَٰهَاwe destroyed it فَجَآءَهَاand came to it بَأْسُنَاour punishment بَيَٰتًا(at) night أَوْor هُمْ(while) they قَآئِلُونَwere sleeping at noon۝٤ Āyah 4

فَمَاthen not كَانَwas دَعْوَىٰهُمْtheir plea إِذْwhen جَآءَهُمcame to them بَأْسُنَآour punishment إِلَّآexcept أَنthat قَالُوٓا۟they said إِنَّاindeed we كُنَّاwere ظَٰلِمِينَwrongdoers۝٥ Āyah 5

فَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّthen surely we will question ٱلَّذِينَthose (to) whom أُرْسِلَwere sent إِلَيْهِمْto them (messengers) وَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّand surely we will question ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَthe messengers۝٦ Āyah 6

فَلَنَقُصَّنَّthen surely we will narrate عَلَيْهِمto them بِعِلْمٍwith knowledge وَمَاand not كُنَّاwe غَآئِبِينَabsent۝٧ Āyah 7

وَٱلْوَزْنُand the weighing يَوْمَئِذٍthat day ٱلْحَقُّ(will be) the truth فَمَنso whose ثَقُلَتْ(will be) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥhis scales فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen those هُمُ[they] ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ(will be) the successful ones۝٨ Āyah 8

وَمَنْand (for) those خَفَّتْ(will be) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥhis scales فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَso those ٱلَّذِينَ(will be) the ones who خَسِرُوٓا۟lost أَنفُسَهُمthemselves بِمَاbecause كَانُوا۟they were بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاto our verses يَظْلِمُونَ(doing) injustice۝٩ Āyah 9

وَلَقَدْand certainly مَكَّنَّٰكُمْwe established you فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth وَجَعَلْنَاand we made لَكُمْfor you فِيهَاin it مَعَٰيِشَlivelihood قَلِيلًاlittle مَّا(is) what تَشْكُرُونَyou (are) grateful۝١٠ Āyah 10
