الأنفال

قُلsay لِّلَّذِينَto those who كَفَرُوٓا۟disbelieve إِنif يَنتَهُوا۟they cease يُغْفَرْwill be forgiven لَهُمfor them مَّاwhat قَدْ[verily] سَلَفَ(is) past وَإِنbut if يَعُودُوا۟they return فَقَدْthen verily مَضَتْpreceded سُنَّتُ(the) practice ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)۝٣٨ Āyah 38

وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْand fight them حَتَّىٰuntil لَاthere is no تَكُونَthere is no فِتْنَةٌoppression وَيَكُونَand is ٱلدِّينُthe religion كُلُّهُۥall of it لِلَّهِfor allah فَإِنِbut if ٱنتَهَوْا۟they cease فَإِنَّthen indeed ٱللَّهَallah بِمَاof what يَعْمَلُونَthey do بَصِيرٌ(is) all seer۝٣٩ Āyah 39

وَإِنand if تَوَلَّوْا۟they turn away فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟then know أَنَّthat ٱللَّهَallah مَوْلَىٰكُمْ(is) your protector نِعْمَexcellent ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ(is) the protector وَنِعْمَand excellent ٱلنَّصِيرُ(is) the helper۝٤٠ Āyah 40

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟and know أَنَّمَاthat what غَنِمْتُمyou obtain (as) spoils of war مِّنof شَىْءٍanything فَأَنَّthen that لِلَّهِfor allah خُمُسَهُۥ(is) one fifth of it وَلِلرَّسُولِand for the messenger وَلِذِىand for the near relatives ٱلْقُرْبَىٰand for the near relatives وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰand the orphans وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِand the needy وَٱبْنِand the wayfarer ٱلسَّبِيلِand the wayfarer إِنif كُنتُمْyou ءَامَنتُمbelieve بِٱللَّهِin allah وَمَآand (in) what أَنزَلْنَاwe sent down عَلَىٰto عَبْدِنَاour slave يَوْمَ(on the) day ٱلْفُرْقَانِ(of) the criterion يَوْمَ(the) day ٱلْتَقَى(when) met ٱلْجَمْعَانِthe two forces وَٱللَّهُand allah عَلَىٰ(is) on كُلِّevery شَىْءٍthing قَدِيرٌall powerful۝٤١ Āyah 41

إِذْwhen أَنتُمyou (were) بِٱلْعُدْوَةِon the nearer side of the valley ٱلدُّنْيَاon the nearer side of the valley وَهُمand they بِٱلْعُدْوَةِ(were) on the farther side ٱلْقُصْوَىٰ(were) on the farther side وَٱلرَّكْبُand the caravan أَسْفَلَ(was) lower مِنكُمْthan you وَلَوْand if تَوَاعَدتُّمْyou (had) made an appointment لَٱخْتَلَفْتُمْcertainly you would have failed فِىin ٱلْمِيعَٰدِthe appointment وَلَٰكِنbut لِّيَقْضِىَthat allah might accomplish ٱللَّهُthat allah might accomplish أَمْرًاa matter كَانَ(that) was مَفْعُولًاdestined لِّيَهْلِكَthat (might be) destroyed مَنْ(those) who هَلَكَ(were to be) destroyed عَنۢon بَيِّنَةٍa clear evidence وَيَحْيَىٰand (might) live مَنْ(those) who حَىَّ(were to) live عَنۢon بَيِّنَةٍa clear evidence وَإِنَّand indeed ٱللَّهَallah لَسَمِيعٌ(is) all hearing عَلِيمٌall knowing۝٤٢ Āyah 42

إِذْwhen يُرِيكَهُمُallah showed them to you ٱللَّهُallah showed them to you فِىin مَنَامِكَyour dream قَلِيلًا(as) few وَلَوْand if أَرَىٰكَهُمْhe had shown them to you كَثِيرًا(as) many لَّفَشِلْتُمْsurely you would have lost courage وَلَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْand surely you would have disputed فِىin ٱلْأَمْرِthe matter وَلَٰكِنَّbut ٱللَّهَallah سَلَّمَsaved (you) إِنَّهُۥindeed he عَلِيمٌۢ(is) all knower بِذَاتِof what is in the breasts ٱلصُّدُورِof what is in the breasts۝٤٣ Āyah 43

وَإِذْand when يُرِيكُمُوهُمْhe showed them to you إِذِwhen ٱلْتَقَيْتُمْyou met فِىٓin أَعْيُنِكُمْyour eyes قَلِيلًا(as) few وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْand he made you (appear) as few فِىٓin أَعْيُنِهِمْtheir eyes لِيَقْضِىَthat allah might accomplish ٱللَّهُthat allah might accomplish أَمْرًاa matter كَانَ(that) was مَفْعُولًا(already) destined وَإِلَىand to ٱللَّهِallah تُرْجَعُreturn ٱلْأُمُورُ(all) the matters۝٤٤ Āyah 44
