وَإِذَآand when أَذَقْنَاwe let [the] mankind taste ٱلنَّاسَwe let [the] mankind taste رَحْمَةًmercy مِّنۢafter بَعْدِafter ضَرَّآءَadversity مَسَّتْهُمْhas touched them إِذَاbehold لَهُمthey have مَّكْرٌa plot فِىٓagainst ءَايَاتِنَاour verses قُلِsay ٱللَّهُallah أَسْرَعُ(is) more swift مَكْرًا(in) planning إِنَّindeed رُسُلَنَاour messengers يَكْتُبُونَwrite down مَاwhat تَمْكُرُونَyou plot۝٢١ Āyah 21

هُوَhe ٱلَّذِى(is) the one who يُسَيِّرُكُمْenables you to travel فِىin ٱلْبَرِّthe land وَٱلْبَحْرِand the sea حَتَّىٰٓuntil إِذَاwhen كُنتُمْyou are فِىin ٱلْفُلْكِthe ships وَجَرَيْنَand they sail بِهِمwith them بِرِيحٍwith a wind طَيِّبَةٍgood وَفَرِحُوا۟and they rejoice بِهَاtherein جَآءَتْهَاcomes to it رِيحٌa wind عَاصِفٌstormy وَجَآءَهُمُand comes to them ٱلْمَوْجُthe waves مِنfrom كُلِّevery مَكَانٍplace وَظَنُّوٓا۟and they assume أَنَّهُمْthat they أُحِيطَare surrounded بِهِمْwith them دَعَوُا۟they call ٱللَّهَallah مُخْلِصِينَsincerely لَهُto him ٱلدِّينَ(in) the religion لَئِنْ(saying) if أَنجَيْتَنَاyou save us مِنْfrom هَٰذِهِۦthis لَنَكُونَنَّsurely we will be مِنَamong ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَthe thankful۝٢٢ Āyah 22

فَلَمَّآbut when أَنجَىٰهُمْhe saved them إِذَاbehold هُمْthey يَبْغُونَrebel فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth بِغَيْرِwithout ٱلْحَقِّ[the] right يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo mankind ٱلنَّاسُo mankind إِنَّمَاonly بَغْيُكُمْyour rebellion عَلَىٰٓ(is) against أَنفُسِكُمyourselves مَّتَٰعَ(the) enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world ثُمَّthen إِلَيْنَاto us مَرْجِعُكُمْ(is) your return فَنُنَبِّئُكُمand we will inform you بِمَاof what كُنتُمْyou used (to) تَعْمَلُونَdo۝٢٣ Āyah 23

إِنَّمَاonly مَثَلُ(the) example ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world كَمَآءٍ(is) like (the) water أَنزَلْنَٰهُwhich we sent down مِنَfrom ٱلسَّمَآءِthe sky فَٱخْتَلَطَso absorbs بِهِۦ[with] it نَبَاتُ(the) plants ٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the earth مِمَّاfrom يَأْكُلُeat ٱلنَّاسُthe men وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمُand the cattle حَتَّىٰٓuntil إِذَآwhen أَخَذَتِtakes ٱلْأَرْضُthe earth زُخْرُفَهَاits adornment وَٱزَّيَّنَتْand is beautified وَظَنَّand think أَهْلُهَآits people أَنَّهُمْthat they قَٰدِرُونَhave the power عَلَيْهَآover it أَتَىٰهَآcomes (to) it أَمْرُنَاour command لَيْلًا(by) night أَوْor نَهَارًا(by) day فَجَعَلْنَٰهَاand we make it حَصِيدًاa harvest clean mown كَأَنas if لَّمْnot تَغْنَit had flourished بِٱلْأَمْسِyesterday كَذَٰلِكَthus نُفَصِّلُwe explain ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِthe signs لِقَوْمٍfor a people يَتَفَكَّرُونَwho reflect۝٢٤ Āyah 24

وَٱللَّهُand allah يَدْعُوٓا۟calls إِلَىٰto دَارِ(the) home ٱلسَّلَٰمِ(of) the peace وَيَهْدِىand guides مَنwhom يَشَآءُhe wills إِلَىٰto صِرَٰطٍ(the) straight path مُّسْتَقِيمٍ(the) straight path۝٢٥ Āyah 25

لِّلَّذِينَfor those who أَحْسَنُوا۟do good ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ(is) the best وَزِيَادَةٌand more وَلَاand not يَرْهَقُ(will) cover وُجُوهَهُمْtheir faces قَتَرٌdust وَلَاand not ذِلَّةٌhumiliation أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose أَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) paradise هُمْthey فِيهَاin it خَٰلِدُونَ(will) abide forever۝٢٦ Āyah 26

وَٱلَّذِينَand those who كَسَبُوا۟earned ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِthe evil deeds جَزَآءُ(the) recompense سَيِّئَةٍۭ(of) an evil deed بِمِثْلِهَا(is) like it وَتَرْهَقُهُمْand (will) cover them ذِلَّةٌhumiliation مَّاthey will not have لَهُمthey will not have مِّنَfrom ٱللَّهِallah مِنْany عَاصِمٍdefender كَأَنَّمَآas if أُغْشِيَتْhad been covered وُجُوهُهُمْtheir faces قِطَعًا(with) pieces مِّنَfrom ٱلَّيْلِthe darkness (of) night مُظْلِمًاthe darkness (of) night أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose أَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companions ٱلنَّارِ(of) the fire هُمْthey فِيهَاin it خَٰلِدُونَ(will) abide forever۝٢٧ Āyah 27

وَيَوْمَand (the) day نَحْشُرُهُمْwe will gather them جَمِيعًاall together ثُمَّthen نَقُولُwe will say لِلَّذِينَto those who أَشْرَكُوا۟associate partners (with allah) مَكَانَكُمْ(remain in) your place أَنتُمْyou وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْand your partners فَزَيَّلْنَاthen we will separate بَيْنَهُمْ[between] them وَقَالَand (will) say شُرَكَآؤُهُمtheir partners مَّاnot كُنتُمْyou used (to) إِيَّانَاworship us تَعْبُدُونَworship us۝٢٨ Āyah 28

فَكَفَىٰso sufficient بِٱللَّهِ(is) allah شَهِيدًۢا(as) a witness بَيْنَنَاbetween us وَبَيْنَكُمْand between you إِنthat كُنَّاwe were عَنْof عِبَادَتِكُمْyour worship لَغَٰفِلِينَcertainly unaware۝٢٩ Āyah 29

هُنَالِكَthere تَبْلُوا۟will be put to trial كُلُّevery نَفْسٍsoul مَّآ(for) what أَسْلَفَتْit did previously وَرُدُّوٓا۟and they will be returned إِلَىto ٱللَّهِallah مَوْلَىٰهُمُtheir lord ٱلْحَقِّthe true وَضَلَّand will be lost عَنْهُمfrom them مَّاwhat كَانُوا۟they used (to) يَفْتَرُونَinvent۝٣٠ Āyah 30
