يونس

وَٱتْلُand recite عَلَيْهِمْto them نَبَأَthe news نُوحٍ(of) nuh إِذْwhen قَالَhe said لِقَوْمِهِۦto his people يَٰقَوْمِo my people إِنif كَانَis كَبُرَhard عَلَيْكُمon you مَّقَامِىmy stay وَتَذْكِيرِىand my reminding بِـَٔايَٰتِthe signs of allah ٱللَّهِthe signs of allah فَعَلَىthen on ٱللَّهِallah تَوَكَّلْتُi put my trust فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟so you all resolve أَمْرَكُمْyour plan وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْand your partners ثُمَّthen لَاlet not be يَكُنْlet not be أَمْرُكُمْ(in) your plan عَلَيْكُمْfor you غُمَّةًany doubt ثُمَّthen ٱقْضُوٓا۟carry (it out) إِلَىَّupon me وَلَاand (do) not تُنظِرُونِgive me respite۝٧١ Āyah 71

فَإِنbut if تَوَلَّيْتُمْyou turn away فَمَاthen not سَأَلْتُكُمi have asked you مِّنْany أَجْرٍreward إِنْnot أَجْرِىَ(is) my reward إِلَّاbut عَلَىon ٱللَّهِallah وَأُمِرْتُand i have been commanded أَنْthat أَكُونَi be مِنَof ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthe muslims۝٧٢ Āyah 72

فَكَذَّبُوهُbut they denied him فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُso we saved him وَمَنand (those) who مَّعَهُۥ(were) with him فِىin ٱلْفُلْكِthe ship وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْand we made them خَلَٰٓئِفَsuccessors وَأَغْرَقْنَاand we drowned ٱلَّذِينَthose who كَذَّبُوا۟denied بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاour signs فَٱنظُرْthen see كَيْفَhow كَانَwas عَٰقِبَةُ(the) end ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ(of) those who were warned۝٧٣ Āyah 73

ثُمَّthen بَعَثْنَاwe sent مِنۢafter him بَعْدِهِۦafter him رُسُلًاmessengers إِلَىٰto قَوْمِهِمْtheir people فَجَآءُوهُمand they came to them بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofs فَمَاbut not كَانُوا۟they were لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟to believe بِمَاwhat كَذَّبُوا۟they had denied بِهِۦ[it] مِنbefore قَبْلُbefore كَذَٰلِكَthus نَطْبَعُwe seal عَلَىٰ[on] قُلُوبِthe hearts ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ(of) the transgressors۝٧٤ Āyah 74

ثُمَّthen بَعَثْنَاwe sent مِنۢafter them بَعْدِهِمafter them مُّوسَىٰmusa وَهَٰرُونَand harun إِلَىٰto فِرْعَوْنَfiraun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦand his chiefs بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاwith our signs فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟but they were arrogant وَكَانُوا۟and were قَوْمًاa people مُّجْرِمِينَcriminal۝٧٥ Āyah 75

فَلَمَّاso when جَآءَهُمُcame to them ٱلْحَقُّthe truth مِنْfrom us عِندِنَاfrom us قَالُوٓا۟they said إِنَّindeed هَٰذَاthis لَسِحْرٌ(is) surely a magic مُّبِينٌclear۝٧٦ Āyah 76

قَالَmusa said مُوسَىٰٓmusa said أَتَقُولُونَdo you say لِلْحَقِّabout the truth لَمَّاwhen جَآءَكُمْit has come to you أَسِحْرٌis this magic هَٰذَاis this magic وَلَاbut (will) not يُفْلِحُsucceed ٱلسَّٰحِرُونَthe magicians۝٧٧ Āyah 77

قَالُوٓا۟they said أَجِئْتَنَاhave you come to لِتَلْفِتَنَاto turn us away عَمَّاfrom that وَجَدْنَاwe found عَلَيْهِon it ءَابَآءَنَاour forefathers وَتَكُونَand you two (may) have لَكُمَاand you two (may) have ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُthe greatness فِىin ٱلْأَرْضِthe land وَمَاand we (are) not نَحْنُand we (are) not لَكُمَا(in) you two بِمُؤْمِنِينَbelievers۝٧٨ Āyah 78

وَقَالَand firaun said فِرْعَوْنُand firaun said ٱئْتُونِىbring to me بِكُلِّevery سَٰحِرٍmagician عَلِيمٍlearned۝٧٩ Āyah 79

فَلَمَّاso when جَآءَcame ٱلسَّحَرَةُthe magicians قَالَsaid لَهُمto them مُّوسَىٰٓmusa أَلْقُوا۟throw مَآwhatever أَنتُمyou مُّلْقُونَ(wish to) throw۝٨٠ Āyah 80

فَلَمَّآthen when أَلْقَوْا۟they (had) thrown قَالَmusa said مُوسَىٰmusa said مَاwhat جِئْتُمyou have brought بِهِ[it] ٱلسِّحْرُ(is) the magic إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓwill nullify it إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah لَا(does) not يُصْلِحُamend عَمَلَthe work ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ(of) the corrupters۝٨١ Āyah 81

وَيُحِقُّand allah will establish ٱللَّهُand allah will establish ٱلْحَقَّthe truth بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦby his words وَلَوْeven if كَرِهَdislike it ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَthe criminals۝٨٢ Āyah 82
