الحجر

فَلَمَّاand when جَآءَcame ءَالَ(to the) family لُوطٍ(of) lut ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَthe messengers۝٦١ Āyah 61

قَالَhe said إِنَّكُمْindeed you قَوْمٌ(are) a people مُّنكَرُونَunknown۝٦٢ Āyah 62

قَالُوا۟they said بَلْnay جِئْنَٰكَwe have come to بِمَاwith what كَانُوا۟they were فِيهِin it يَمْتَرُونَdisputing۝٦٣ Āyah 63

وَأَتَيْنَٰكَand we have come بِٱلْحَقِّwith the truth وَإِنَّاand indeed we لَصَٰدِقُونَsurely (are) truthful۝٦٤ Āyah 64

فَأَسْرِso travel بِأَهْلِكَwith your family بِقِطْعٍin a portion مِّنَof ٱلَّيْلِthe night وَٱتَّبِعْand follow أَدْبَٰرَهُمْtheir backs وَلَاand not يَلْتَفِتْlet look back مِنكُمْamong you أَحَدٌanyone وَٱمْضُوا۟and go on حَيْثُwhere تُؤْمَرُونَyou are ordered۝٦٥ Āyah 65

وَقَضَيْنَآand we conveyed إِلَيْهِto him ذَٰلِكَ[that] ٱلْأَمْرَthe matter أَنَّthat دَابِرَ(the) root هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ(of) these مَقْطُوعٌwould be cut off مُّصْبِحِينَ(by) early morning۝٦٦ Āyah 66

وَجَآءَand came أَهْلُ(the) people ٱلْمَدِينَةِ(of) the city يَسْتَبْشِرُونَrejoicing۝٦٧ Āyah 67

قَالَhe said إِنَّindeed هَٰٓؤُلَآءِthese ضَيْفِى(are) my guests فَلَاso (do) not تَفْضَحُونِshame me۝٦٨ Āyah 68

وَٱتَّقُوا۟and fear ٱللَّهَallah وَلَاand (do) not تُخْزُونِdisgrace me۝٦٩ Āyah 69

قَالُوٓا۟they said أَوَلَمْdid not نَنْهَكَwe forbid you عَنِfrom ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَthe world۝٧٠ Āyah 70

قَالَhe said هَٰٓؤُلَآءِthese بَنَاتِىٓ(are) my daughters إِنif كُنتُمْyou would be فَٰعِلِينَdoers۝٧١ Āyah 71

لَعَمْرُكَby your life إِنَّهُمْindeed they لَفِىwere in سَكْرَتِهِمْtheir intoxication يَعْمَهُونَwandering blindly۝٧٢ Āyah 72

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُso seized them ٱلصَّيْحَةُthe awful cry مُشْرِقِينَat sunrise۝٧٣ Āyah 73

فَجَعَلْنَاand we made عَٰلِيَهَاits highest (part) سَافِلَهَاits lowest وَأَمْطَرْنَاand we rained عَلَيْهِمْupon them حِجَارَةًstones مِّنof سِجِّيلٍbaked clay۝٧٤ Āyah 74

إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَٰتٍ(are) the signs لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَfor those who discern۝٧٥ Āyah 75

وَإِنَّهَاand indeed it لَبِسَبِيلٍ(is) on a road مُّقِيمٍestablished۝٧٦ Āyah 76

إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَةًsurely (is) a sign لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believers۝٧٧ Āyah 77

وَإِنand were كَانَand were أَصْحَٰبُ(the) companions ٱلْأَيْكَةِ(of) the wood لَظَٰلِمِينَsurely wrongdoers۝٧٨ Āyah 78

فَٱنتَقَمْنَاso we took retribution مِنْهُمْfrom them وَإِنَّهُمَاand indeed they both لَبِإِمَامٍ(were) on a highway مُّبِينٍclear۝٧٩ Āyah 79
