القصص

وَلَقَدْand indeed وَصَّلْنَاwe have conveyed لَهُمُto them ٱلْقَوْلَthe word لَعَلَّهُمْso that they may يَتَذَكَّرُونَremember۝٥١ Āyah 51

ٱلَّذِينَthose who ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُwe gave them ٱلْكِتَٰبَthe scripture مِنbefore it قَبْلِهِۦbefore it هُمthey بِهِۦin it يُؤْمِنُونَbelieve۝٥٢ Āyah 52

وَإِذَاand when يُتْلَىٰit is recited عَلَيْهِمْto them قَالُوٓا۟they say ءَامَنَّاwe believe بِهِۦٓin it إِنَّهُindeed it ٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truth مِنfrom رَّبِّنَآour lord إِنَّاindeed we كُنَّا[we] were مِنbefore it قَبْلِهِۦbefore it مُسْلِمِينَmuslims۝٥٣ Āyah 53

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose يُؤْتَوْنَwill be given أَجْرَهُمtheir reward مَّرَّتَيْنِtwice بِمَاbecause صَبَرُوا۟they are patient وَيَدْرَءُونَand they repel بِٱلْحَسَنَةِwith good ٱلسَّيِّئَةَthe evil وَمِمَّاand from what رَزَقْنَٰهُمْwe have provided them يُنفِقُونَthey spend۝٥٤ Āyah 54

وَإِذَاand when سَمِعُوا۟they hear ٱللَّغْوَvain talk أَعْرَضُوا۟they turn away عَنْهُfrom it وَقَالُوا۟and say لَنَآfor us أَعْمَٰلُنَاour deeds وَلَكُمْand for you أَعْمَٰلُكُمْyour deeds سَلَٰمٌpeace (be) عَلَيْكُمْon you; لَاnot نَبْتَغِىwe seek ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَthe ignorant۝٥٥ Āyah 55

إِنَّكَindeed you لَا(can) not تَهْدِىguide مَنْwhom أَحْبَبْتَyou love وَلَٰكِنَّbut ٱللَّهَallah يَهْدِىguides مَنwhom يَشَآءُhe wills وَهُوَand he أَعْلَمُ(is) most knowing بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ(of) the guided ones۝٥٦ Āyah 56

وَقَالُوٓا۟and they say إِنif نَّتَّبِعِwe follow ٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidance مَعَكَwith you نُتَخَطَّفْwe would be swept مِنْfrom أَرْضِنَآour land أَوَلَمْhave not نُمَكِّنwe established لَّهُمْfor them حَرَمًاa sanctuary ءَامِنًاsecure يُجْبَىٰٓare brought إِلَيْهِto it ثَمَرَٰتُfruits كُلِّ(of) all شَىْءٍthings رِّزْقًاa provision مِّنfrom لَّدُنَّاus وَلَٰكِنَّbut أَكْثَرَهُمْmost of them لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٥٧ Āyah 57

وَكَمْand how many أَهْلَكْنَاwe have destroyed مِنof قَرْيَةٍۭa town بَطِرَتْwhich exulted مَعِيشَتَهَا(in) its means of livelihood فَتِلْكَand these مَسَٰكِنُهُمْ(are) their dwellings لَمْnot تُسْكَنhave been inhabited مِّنۢafter them بَعْدِهِمْafter them إِلَّاexcept قَلِيلًاa little وَكُنَّاand indeed [we] نَحْنُwe ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ(are) the inheritors۝٥٨ Āyah 58

وَمَاand not كَانَwas رَبُّكَyour lord مُهْلِكَ(the) one to destroy ٱلْقُرَىٰthe towns حَتَّىٰuntil يَبْعَثَhe (had) sent فِىٓin أُمِّهَاtheir mother (town) رَسُولًاa messenger يَتْلُوا۟reciting عَلَيْهِمْto them ءَايَٰتِنَاour verses وَمَاand not كُنَّاwe would be مُهْلِكِى(the) one to destroy ٱلْقُرَىٰٓthe towns إِلَّاexcept وَأَهْلُهَاwhile their people ظَٰلِمُونَ(were) wrongdoers۝٥٩ Āyah 59

وَمَآand whatever أُوتِيتُمyou have been given مِّنfrom شَىْءٍthings فَمَتَٰعُ(is) an enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of the) life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world وَزِينَتُهَاand its adornment وَمَاand what عِندَ(is) with ٱللَّهِallah خَيْرٌ(is) better وَأَبْقَىٰٓand more lasting أَفَلَاso (will) not تَعْقِلُونَyou use intellect۝٦٠ Āyah 60
