الزمر

ٱللَّهُallah يَتَوَفَّىtakes ٱلْأَنفُسَthe souls حِينَ(at the) time مَوْتِهَا(of) their death وَٱلَّتِىand the one who لَمْ(does) not تَمُتْdie فِىin مَنَامِهَاtheir sleep فَيُمْسِكُthen he keeps ٱلَّتِىthe one whom قَضَىٰhe has decreed عَلَيْهَاfor them ٱلْمَوْتَthe death وَيُرْسِلُand sends ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓthe others إِلَىٰٓfor أَجَلٍa term مُّسَمًّىspecified إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَٰتٍsurely (are) signs لِّقَوْمٍfor a people يَتَفَكَّرُونَwho ponder۝٤٢ Āyah 42

أَمِor ٱتَّخَذُوا۟have they taken مِنbesides دُونِbesides ٱللَّهِallah شُفَعَآءَintercessors قُلْsay أَوَلَوْeven though كَانُوا۟they were لَاnot يَمْلِكُونَpossessing شَيْـًٔاanything وَلَاand not يَعْقِلُونَthey understand۝٤٣ Āyah 43

قُلsay لِّلَّهِto allah (belongs) ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُthe intercession جَمِيعًاall لَّهُۥfor him مُلْكُ(is the) dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth ثُمَّthen إِلَيْهِto him تُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned۝٤٤ Āyah 44

وَإِذَاand when ذُكِرَallah is mentioned ٱللَّهُallah is mentioned وَحْدَهُalone ٱشْمَأَزَّتْshrink with aversion قُلُوبُ(the) hearts ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those who لَا(do) not يُؤْمِنُونَbelieve بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِin the hereafter وَإِذَاand when ذُكِرَare mentioned ٱلَّذِينَthose مِنbesides him دُونِهِۦٓbesides him إِذَاbehold هُمْthey يَسْتَبْشِرُونَrejoice۝٤٥ Āyah 45

قُلِsay ٱللَّهُمَّo allah فَاطِرَcreator ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth عَٰلِمَknower ٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseen وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the witnessed أَنتَyou تَحْكُمُwill judge بَيْنَbetween عِبَادِكَyour slaves فِىin مَاwhat كَانُوا۟they used to فِيهِtherein يَخْتَلِفُونَdiffer۝٤٦ Āyah 46

وَلَوْand if أَنَّand if لِلَّذِينَthose who ظَلَمُوا۟did wrong مَا(had) whatever فِى(is) in ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth جَمِيعًاall وَمِثْلَهُۥand (the) like of it مَعَهُۥwith it لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟they would ransom بِهِۦwith it مِنfrom سُوٓءِ(the) evil ٱلْعَذَابِ(of) the punishment يَوْمَ(on the) day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the resurrection وَبَدَاand (will) appear لَهُمto them مِّنَfrom ٱللَّهِallah مَاwhat لَمْnot يَكُونُوا۟they had يَحْتَسِبُونَtaken into account۝٤٧ Āyah 47

وَبَدَاand will become apparent لَهُمْto them سَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evils مَا(of) what كَسَبُوا۟they earned وَحَاقَand will surround بِهِمthem مَّاwhat كَانُوا۟they used to بِهِۦ[in it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَmock۝٤٨ Āyah 48

فَإِذَاso when مَسَّtouches ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ[the] man ضُرٌّadversity دَعَانَاhe calls upon us; ثُمَّthen إِذَاwhen خَوَّلْنَٰهُwe bestow (on) him نِعْمَةًa favor مِّنَّاfrom us قَالَhe says إِنَّمَآonly أُوتِيتُهُۥi have been given it عَلَىٰfor عِلْمٍۭknowledge بَلْnay هِىَit فِتْنَةٌ(is) a trial وَلَٰكِنَّbut أَكْثَرَهُمْmost of them لَا(do) not يَعْلَمُونَknow۝٤٩ Āyah 49

قَدْindeed قَالَهَاsaid it ٱلَّذِينَthose مِنbefore them قَبْلِهِمْbefore them فَمَآbut (did) not أَغْنَىٰavail عَنْهُمthem مَّاwhat كَانُوا۟they used to يَكْسِبُونَearn۝٥٠ Āyah 50

فَأَصَابَهُمْthen struck them سَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evils مَا(of) what كَسَبُوا۟they earned وَٱلَّذِينَand those who ظَلَمُوا۟have wronged مِنْof هَٰٓؤُلَآءِthese سَيُصِيبُهُمْwill strike them سَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evils مَا(of) what كَسَبُوا۟they earned; وَمَاand not هُمthey بِمُعْجِزِينَwill be able to escape۝٥١ Āyah 51

أَوَلَمْdo not يَعْلَمُوٓا۟they know أَنَّthat ٱللَّهَallah يَبْسُطُextends ٱلرِّزْقَthe provision لِمَنfor whom يَشَآءُhe wills وَيَقْدِرُand restricts إِنَّindeed فِىin ذَٰلِكَthat لَـَٔايَٰتٍsurely (are) signs لِّقَوْمٍfor a people يُؤْمِنُونَwho believe۝٥٢ Āyah 52
