التوبة

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاo you who believe ٱلَّذِينَo you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟o you who believe مَاwhat لَكُمْ(is the matter) with you إِذَاwhen قِيلَit is said لَكُمُto you ٱنفِرُوا۟go forth فِىin سَبِيلِ(the) way ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ٱثَّاقَلْتُمْyou cling heavily إِلَىto ٱلْأَرْضِthe earth أَرَضِيتُمare you pleased بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِwith the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world مِنَ(rather) than ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِthe hereafter فَمَاbut what مَتَٰعُ(is the) enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the world فِىin (comparison to) ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِthe hereafter إِلَّاexcept قَلِيلٌa little۝٣٨ Āyah 38

إِلَّاif not تَنفِرُوا۟you go forth يُعَذِّبْكُمْhe will punish you عَذَابًا(with) a painful punishment أَلِيمًا(with) a painful punishment وَيَسْتَبْدِلْand will replace you قَوْمًا(with) a people غَيْرَكُمْother than you وَلَاand not تَضُرُّوهُyou can harm him شَيْـًٔا(in) anything وَٱللَّهُand allah عَلَىٰ(is) on كُلِّevery شَىْءٍthing قَدِيرٌall powerful۝٣٩ Āyah 39

إِلَّاif not تَنصُرُوهُyou help him فَقَدْcertainly نَصَرَهُallah helped him ٱللَّهُallah helped him إِذْwhen أَخْرَجَهُdrove him out ٱلَّذِينَthose who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieved ثَانِىَthe second ٱثْنَيْنِ(of) the two إِذْwhen هُمَاthey both فِى(were) in ٱلْغَارِthe cave إِذْwhen يَقُولُhe said لِصَٰحِبِهِۦto his companion لَا(do) not تَحْزَنْgrieve إِنَّindeed ٱللَّهَallah مَعَنَا(is) with us فَأَنزَلَthen allah sent down ٱللَّهُthen allah sent down سَكِينَتَهُۥhis tranquility عَلَيْهِupon him وَأَيَّدَهُۥand supported him بِجُنُودٍwith forces لَّمْwhich you did not see تَرَوْهَاwhich you did not see وَجَعَلَand made كَلِمَةَ(the) word ٱلَّذِينَ(of) those who كَفَرُوا۟disbelieved ٱلسُّفْلَىٰthe lowest وَكَلِمَةُwhile (the) word ٱللَّهِ(of) allah هِىَit (is) ٱلْعُلْيَاthe highest وَٱللَّهُand allah عَزِيزٌ(is) all mighty حَكِيمٌall wise۝٤٠ Āyah 40

ٱنفِرُوا۟go forth خِفَافًاlight وَثِقَالًاor heavy وَجَٰهِدُوا۟and strive بِأَمْوَٰلِكُمْwith your wealth وَأَنفُسِكُمْand your lives فِىin سَبِيلِ(the) way ٱللَّهِ(of) allah ذَٰلِكُمْthat خَيْرٌ(is) better لَّكُمْfor you إِنif كُنتُمْyou تَعْلَمُونَknow۝٤١ Āyah 41

لَوْif كَانَit had been عَرَضًاa gain قَرِيبًاnear وَسَفَرًاand a journey قَاصِدًاeasy لَّٱتَّبَعُوكَsurely they (would) have followed you وَلَٰكِنۢbut بَعُدَتْwas long عَلَيْهِمُfor them ٱلشُّقَّةُthe distance وَسَيَحْلِفُونَand they will swear بِٱللَّهِby allah لَوِif ٱسْتَطَعْنَاwe were able لَخَرَجْنَاcertainly we (would) have come forth مَعَكُمْwith you يُهْلِكُونَthey destroy أَنفُسَهُمْtheir own selves وَٱللَّهُand allah يَعْلَمُknows إِنَّهُمْ(that) indeed they لَكَٰذِبُونَ(are) surely liars۝٤٢ Āyah 42
